"We had a girl's ski trip that was fabulous. The condo was perfect for 6 women. I even enjoyed the mattress on the top bunk! We loved the ease of the location. It was well equipped with all of the amenities. This was our first time to Deer Valley and we will definitely come back. There was no need for a car. The public bus stopped at the front door and went straight into the Main Street of Park City. We all loved that there were no snowboarders. We really appreciated that when the snow was soft because the weather was warm, it didn't seem to pile up as much. Again thank you for the hospitality!"

  • A World Away and Around the Corner

"When I travel into woods or mountains, which I do often, I'm seeking to stay where I'll have that feeling of being a world away from home. Serene, scenic, private or close enough with quiet, picturesque out my windows - a place filled with light and volume inside. I want a rustic feel, but if I'm not camping in a tent, I don't mind understated luxury. I'm looking for a place with just nooks to sit, just the right amount of space. I might not be dining out too much, so I'm looking for a nice kitchen, and fireplace near. An open floor plan's even better. I plan to be out most of the day, but if I'm not or when I'm not, I want cozy and inviting. If I'm with kids, then something fun for them is nice. Gary's home offers all that, and it's right around the corner from everything you'd want in the Park City area. And, Gary's a terrific owner, someone who loves his home and wants you to, as well, and he wants you to have a wonderful stay. We've stayed a week and leave tomorrow and I'd have to think hard about how it could have been better. My 11 year-old would agree. We hope you'll enjoy Gary's place but, if you choose elsewhere, that might just leave it open for when we look to come back!"

  • Wonderful trip to Park City

"Great location, as everyone mentioned. It was easy to catch the free shuttle to either Deer Valley or the downtown area. The decor was "different", but quite comfortable and clean. The only slight issue was the hot tub had been turned down to 85 degrees, so when we were ready to use it it was not hot enough and it took several hours to get up to temp. Not a BIG deal, but worth mentioning. The goodie basket left by the owner was much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again."

  • Review for Abode in Deer Lake Village at Deer Valley

"First, we'd like to thank Cole of Abode. Cole understood what was important to us in a vacation home and was able to suggest this wonderful property. When we arrived after a long road trip, Cole was there to meet us with a Welcome Basket, cold drinks, and a steaming hot tub! We had a wonderful first-time experience using Abode and definitely recommend them! This is a lovely, spacious mountain home in a quiet wooded setting, with an outdoor patio area, hot tub, and a pond out back. The home was beautifully appointed without being too "cabin-y", with four large bedrooms and lots of closet space for longer stays (our visit was August/September). The living room, dining room, and kitchen were more than accommodating when we had family visiting. The two car garage was big enough for our SUV, bikes, golf clubs, etc. This neighborhood is VERY pedestrian friendly, perfect for early morning or evening strolls to view wildlife. The ponds are teeming with ducks, muskrat, and fish (fishing is allowed in some of them). We spotted fox, osprey, sandhill cranes, LOTS of deer, and a moose cow and calf enjoyed trimming the Aspens by our hot tub! Solamere and Deer Crest trailheads are right across the street for hiking and mountain biking and snowshoeing in the winter. It's a short walk to Deer Valley Lodge, the St. Regis funicular, and Deer Valley Grocery Cafe where you can enjoy your meal on the deck overlooking a pond (and you can practice your Standup Paddleboarding in the pond during summer months!). Park City's Main Street is only 1.5 miles away, you can walk, ride your bike, drive, or take the free bus."
