"Stayed here for 6 nights in late October w/ kids on fall break. It's clean, warm (the wall heaters in each room=super efficient), modern and has all the kitchen essentials! Amanda was very communicative prior to and during our stay, even dropping off paper towels our first morning :) We visited both Bryce and Zion, as well as fishing at two local ponds/creeks, both w/in ~5 miles. We also hit a couple of 'rock stores' (way back from Zion) - really cool stuff - every mineral and semi-precious stone you could ever see! It's beautiful in DCV, but def remote! Be sure to get all your groceries in Cedar City (~35 miles away--down the hill) we went twice. The local gas station came in handy if we needed milk, eggs, drinks or snacks, but that's about it. We ate at the cafe across the highway 2x (A-frame yellow place, name?), friendly and tasty, and at Mark's burrito stand too (down the dirt road past True value) - also friendly and enormous portions! A few places appear to close down in October due to lack of residents/vacationers. All in all, a great vacay! I have only two minor suggestions; first, a slightly larger TV ~32in or so?) would be great! -the current seems small.. 25" 23" ? hard to see from the couch. Secondly, we did have some noisy neighbors the first couple nights - unit 2, next door - they weren't outrageous, but we went to bed at 10p and could hear them laughing loudly thru the walls for a good hour or so. Temporary nuisance. Kids enjoyed collecting firewood and built a teepee on the upper lot. Anyway, book it, you'll enjoy it - gorgeous country!"
