  • Beautiful Maintained Vacation Home in Excellent Locale!

"The house was exactly as the owner described and a great jumping off point for a great vacation. Highly recommended. From my past visits to SLC, can tell you this is a PERFECT location for a Deer Valley ski holiday, about 5 minute walk (max) from the mid-mountain lifts... but also great for a summer visit, which is what brought us there this past July. Hiked up to the top of some neighboring peaks almost every day that we were there, just a wonderful trip! The house is big, beautiful, very comfortable and inviting with a layout that could easily accommodate our large family gathering-- we had 12 people, a mix of parents, siblings and their children. There is a nice combined great room, kitchen and dining area that allowed us to all hang out, but also a good degree of privacy with lots of separate bedrooms. Owner takes great care of this property: it's very well maintained and a lot of thought has gone into making guest feel comfortable... whether its instructions on working the A/V system, the gas grill or the hot tub. One of the kids has special needs and the owner took special care to accommodate her requirements. All in all, an excellent experience. The management company was also highly responsive. It's a mountain setting, so comfortable even in the dead of summer, but note that there is no air conditioning (or at least wasn't at the time), so fair warning. Just for reference, we were there for what turned out to be the hottest week of the summer and the first day (when we opened and aired the house) was a bit warm, but it was pretty much perfect the rest of the week."

  • Moab solitude.

"If you are looking for a great retreat from the crowds in a terrific setting and if you have a four wheel drive vehicle this place is for you. The owner John, is very engaging and has been upfront about the only drawback of this cabin. It is difficult to get to. (On the other hand, that is part of its charm!). The road that Google suggests, Sand Flats, comes in from the West and North and is a legitimate jeep road in many sections. We arrived late in the day during a rain storm and between the narrow, rocky, muddy surface and the sharp curves that hug small canyon walls, it got a little exciting. It didn't take us long, however, to discover a much easier way in from the South. I highly recommend, for those less adventurous souls, that the trek up LaSal Mountain Loop Road to a much shorter segment of Sand Flats is preferable. The final quarter mile to the cabin is a rocky and muddy road that turns off of Sand Flats. Again I highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle with ample clearance. The access to the property and the property setting are beautiful on their own. The porch offers great views of Canyonlands, Arches, and the LaSal mountains. Take time to hike around the property, enjoy sunrise and sunset and the great night sky. The cabin itself is very clean, we'll decorated and equipped, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We used the queen bed in the back bedroom and found it very comfortable. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the best nature has to offer. It took us about an hour and a half to get from it to either Arches or Canyonlands. Those parks are awesome and to some degree when you stay at the property you feel a bit like you never left them. That works out well since, at least in our case, between the road conditions and the travel times we sometimes felt we had to leave the National Parks a little early so we could avoid traveling the jeep road in the dark and rain. Bottom line, if you are a bit adventuresome this property is a great place to stay. You'll make some unexpected memories and have some great stories."

  • Best Location in Duck Creek Village

"Our stay at the Alpine Forest Lodge was incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful that we never had to think of anything during our stay. I have been to most areas of Utah and Duck Creek was really one of my favorites. The lodge was clean, spacious and had a good family feel to it. I look forward to my next chance to visit in the very near future."

  • Family visit

"We were meeting our daughter, son-in-law, granddaughter and twin special need grandsons who were driving in from Salt Lake City. When we arrived at Rim Village we were presently supprised. All of the property was well kept along with a beautiful view of the mountains. The rental exceeded our expectations and was clean and well maintained. We loved the patio due to the fact it was fenced in as we had our special need grandsons. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone planning to visit Moab and the surrounding areas."
