"I make it a point to find unique, remote properties for our family when we travel. I spend many hours searching for the right home and have found many wonderful homes through VRBO. That said, Los Vados exceeded our expectations (and those expectations were high!) We stayed at this amazing property in April 2015. Driving out of and into the canyon was an adventure in itself. My younger son was our official gate keeper, opening and closing the gates like a pro as we traveled to and from Los Vados. We stayed for 4 nights - I could've stayed for 4 weeks! It is a piece of heaven. The design of the home and the way it is decorated is so pleasing. The home had a calming effect on us all. Our favorite part was searching for the ancient petroglyphs as we hiked around the property. My husband would like to return and do a study of the petroglyphs - where they are located, what they mean - especially when looked at as a whole of the canyon. From my understanding, we only have seen the tip of the iceberg and would literally need to spend weeks in the canyon to find them all! Having two boys (ages 11 and 14), we also ventured out from the canyon each day to find some mountain biking spots. As a family, we enjoyed both Dead Horse Point and Klondike Bluffs. We also made our first ever journey into Arches National Park...a trip that has been on our bucket list for quite awhile. This trip was a fabulous adventure made even better by our ability to stay in Dave and Susan's well designed home in the canyon! THANK YOU, THANK YOU DAVE AND SUSAN!!!"

"Our family stayed there over Spring Break for a few days for some awesome skiing. This cabin is a true getaway because of the great cabiny touches and nostalgic feel. The gas fireplace warms it up well and we were as snug as could be. One concern is the way the upstairs bedroom opens up and the steep staircase is literally right there, so if traveling with little ones, throw a baby gate in the car so you'll sleep better! Just looking at the photos gives me a happy feeling knowing what a good time we had. We want to return at some point. You have what you need and although it is very tiny, that is what makes it distinct and welcome from regular day to day. If you are into a cozy cabin (as I am) I think you'll love it."
