"Our family of 5 and a friend attended a conference at the Zermatt Resort in August. We were excited to find the condo was only about 200 yards from the resort, a small walk up the hill. There are 2 flights of stairs up to the condo, from the covered parking garage, so if you are hadicapped or injured, take that into consideration. We had plenty of room and the living room was much bigger than the picture, with vualted ceilings and two couches. Because of the conference we did not spend much time in the condo, but it was nice to come back to very comfortable beds and nice big, fluffy towels. The hot tub was not in operation at the clubhouse, which the owner said was not common, so if you have your heart set on a hot tub, have the owner call ahead first. The club house was a bit old, but we didn't have much time to spend there, so for us it was fine. We did play some ping pong. The kitchen was nice for cooking breakfast and evening meals. It was a nice place for the price and the surrounding area is beautiful, the town quaint and close to many places to see and explore. They rented 4wheelers at the Zermatt which was a spectacular ride and we drove North over the mountain to have dinner in Park City and the views were amazing. The owners were very nice. We would stay here again. Thanks!"

  • Midway

"I had a wonderful time staying at this lovely property in Midway. The house exceeded my expectations. Very clean and well maintained, and the most well stocked rental that I have experienced. As soon as you walk in you feel at home and know you are going to have a comfortable stay. Great beds with plenty of extra linens and towels. The views from this home are spectacular. Watching the weather and Spring bloom in the valley was a delight! The proprietor and property manager were very helpful and easy to work with throughout my stay. Property manager is local and readily available. Midway is charming and friendly with local restaurants and coffee shops nearby. And, of course, Park City and all it has to offer is just 15 minutes away. You can secure this property with great confidence and know that you will have a comfortable, relaxed stay. I would highly recommend it."

  • Fantastic Property.. "Pervenche" is a true 5 Star Property...Excellent Value as well!!

"Having stayed at numerous VRBO listings before, I've always been a little hesitant to write reviews because I don't want to nit pick items or influence people unless I have a very strong opinion about a property. This estate home in Midway, Utah near Park City, Utah is absolutely gorgeous!! The layout is so well thought out with the Master Suite & sitting area on the main floor with such incredible views of the mountains and valleys. The decor and appliances really are of the highest quality. All Viking Professional appliances in the main kitchen and everything you need to make your meals with is included. Our family and friends were able to spread out across the 3 different family room areas and though this is a very large home, each area feels intimate and cozy. The home was so clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our week here at Pervenche and will absolutely be returning in the future. Though the pictures and video offer a true depiction of the house, I feel that it does not fully portray just how beautiful a home it really is. Great restaurants are nearby in Midway & Heber. Of course Park City is really close by as well."

Midway Travel Tips

Midway Vacation Rentals Make the Most of Utah's Little Switzerland

The small town of Midway, with its population of 3,400 residents, is just southeast of Salt Lake City in the Heber Valley. It has a distinctly Swiss atmosphere, located in the Wasatch Mountains. Many of the town's original ancestors who settled here were from Switzerland and their traditions are still celebrated. Swiss Days celebrates the harvest, and the festivities and local costumes draw thousands of visitors to the event. There are a number of parades as well as Swiss cuisine; a Swiss Miss Royalty is chosen to add a touch of glamor to the event.

Why Choose Midway Vacation Rentals?

Outdoor action is what any Midway vacation is all about. Renting a vacation home or condo is the best way to have all the freedom and space you need to have fun in this outdoor wonderland. With Midway vacation rental homes, you can come and go as you please, relax in the hot tub after a day's activities, and enjoy a fireside supper prepared in your own fully equipped kitchen. With space to store bikes, skis, kayaks, fishing tackle and other sports equipment, choosing vacation rentals is a sensible and economical option for maximizing your fun in Utah. Homes are available to suit all sizes of parties, from couples and families to large groups of friends.

Things to Do Around Midway Vacation Houses

The Midway area has 90 holes of golf and miles of trails for biking, motorbikes and ATVs. Two of Utah's finest golf courses can be found at Wasatch Mountain and Soldier Hollow. Horse riding can also be enjoyed in the area, and the Provo and Weber Rivers are known for their world-class fishing. Mountain biking, jogging, boating, fly fishing, waterskiing, Jet Skiing, windsurfing, outlet shopping, hot air ballooning and nature spotting can all be enjoyed around your Utah vacation rentals. Trail maps are available in the area, showing hikes across flower-filled meadows to secluded waterfalls.

In the winter, downhill and cross country skiing are available along the 2002 Olympic ski trails around Deer Valley, Sundance and Soldier Hollow. Snow shoeing, snowmobiling and sleigh rides are popular ways to enjoy the beautiful snow-covered mountain scenery.

Places to Visit from Midway Condos

Days out from your Midway vacation rentals should include a visit to the Jordanelle Reservoir and the Deer Creek Reservoir. Park City is just 15 minutes away and features turn-of-the century charm in the town founded by silver miners. The galleries and restaurants capture all the romance of the Old West and shops sell everything from hardware to handcrafted furniture and designer clothing. Park City is also known for its lively nightlife.

The incredible sights of Utah's National Parks are about 160 miles south of Midway and well worth the drive. Arches National Park, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon National Park all showcase the spectacular red rock formations which this state is famous for.

The town of Sundance is known for its film festival which is held each year in January, when more than 200 films are selected for screening. The Heber Valley Railroad is a historic route through the Heber valley. A relaxing ride on one of the restored trains will allow you to take in the wonderful scenery along Deer Creek Reservoir.

The Best Time of the Year to Visit Utah Vacation Rentals

Although the winters in Midway are well below freezing, from May to October there are gorgeous sunny days with low rainfall and negligible humidity. During the summer months, daytime highs can reach 85 F so you will need sunscreen. In the winter, there is ample snowfall, making this one of the best areas for skiing; you can ski on slopes used in the 2002 Winter Olympics.
