  • Good convenient budget apartment in downtown Moab

"We liked the Violet unit at Stella Ruby, with just a few details that kept this from being a 5 pt rating. The good parts are location, patio and grill, price, size of the unit, linens, privacy, really nice bathroom, private laundry, bike storage room, and pretty darn good light given it is a basement apartment. The main downsides are the very scattershot kitchen facilities. One small pot, no strainer, only two bowls, a very slow countertop burner unit, essentially non-functioning freezer within the dorm fridge. With very minimal effort (a few more dishes and pots, a higher quality countertop burner thing, a freezer that can actually maintain ice cream in a solid state) this unit could have a FAR better cooking abilities. We had two days when the weather precluded using the grill and it was a real stretch to make a decent dinner for 2 adults and 2 small kids. The other downside is that the unit above's sound travels quite well through their floor. We were lucky that the people above us were great, but you could not be so lucky and then the sound would be a big problem."

  • Unique Canyon Experience

"We are on our way home from a great week in Moab and this special canyon house added so much to the week. It is an adventure just getting to it, so you need to be prepared for a beautiful but bumpy, twisting, turning, up, down 20 minute ride to the house. The house is so unique. I loved all of the outdoor area. The furniture was very comfortable to lounge and read with the sandstone cliffs surrounding you. As you lounge around the pool, there is even a petroglyph that can be seen on a distant sandstone cliff. How cool is that? We hiked in Arches and Canyonlands. We hiked Fisher Towers and went to Corona Arch. All the hikes were different and breathtaking and the "icing on the cake" was to be able to come back and relax in our very own canyon house with all the comforts of home. The week was filled with a great balance of easy hikes, strenuous hikes and relaxing moments on a chaise lounge. Bugs spray is needed, but other than that the house will add to your Moab experience."

  • Moab Rocks!

"We had a wonderful stay in Moab. We enjoyed exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks as well as Dead Horse Point State Park. One of the highlights was the hike to Corona Arch and seeing so many fascinating petroglyphs. This sweet home was one of the best vacation homes we've stayed in."

  • Great Winter Stay!

"We just returned from a 3-night stay in Moab, and we had a great stay in this condo. It is about 5 minutes south of town, but the drive is easy and worth it for the view and peace and quiet! The condo was stocked with everything we needed, including every item we could think of in the kitchen, DVD player, wireless internet, and even books and puzzles to play with when we were just hanging out. There was plenty of room for all 5 of us in our party (4 adults and one child), and we were all really comfortable in the condo. We enjoyed hanging around by the fireplace after hiking all day, and we enjoyed the fact that there was so much seating around the bar and table. It was nice to have TVs in each bedroom, although we didn't use them on this trip. Owners were very easy to work with, and our family had a great time at this condo! The only negative thing I will say would be that the stairs are a little steep, so my parents were wary of them after a day of hiking, but otherwise this was better than advertised. I love that there was a little playground right across from the condo for my daughter to play on, and the pool and hot tub and tennis courts look great (for warmer weather!). If you go in the winter, make sure you take lots of layers and even more clothing than you think you will need. There was a lot more snow and ice than we expected, but we had some amazing hikes and beautiful views of snowy red-rock!! Thanks to the owners for providing a notebook and materials to help us choose which hikes to do!"
