  • Fabulous property and house!

"I totally agree with Rachel, that the house had everything our group of 7 needed (plus extras): a well stocked kitchen, hundreds of books and dvds, nice linens, pool table and jacuzzi. It really is as represented. It has the eccentricities of an old house, but it was not drafty. In fact, it was very cozy, despite the fact that it is quite large. Pictures of all of the bedrooms are not in the listing, but be assured that one room is cuter than the next. Also, Jerry was terrific to work with. We accidentally locked ourselves out on the first night, and within minutes he was at the house to help us. Check in and out was simple. We found Ogden to be an odd town, but we enjoyed indoor rock climbing at The Front, and a casual dinner at Slackwater Pub and Pizzeria. The house was centrally located, and we got everywhere we wanted in about 5 minutes. However, the highlight of the trip was hanging out at the house!"

  • Great location, great value, great service!

"This condo couldn't have been better suited for our needs. We had 2 couples and 2 grown children and have more than enough space. The location is within easy walking distance (less than 10 minute walk) to the resort center. The bus stop is literally right down the steps from this condo's front door and we never had more than a 10 minute wait for a bus. Kim was very easy to work with and clearly knows what vacation travelers are looking for when renting from VRBO. The unit was well-stocked with essentials, like soap, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters, plates, glasses, cups, utensils, cookware, etc. It even had fans and humidifiers in each room! You'd be surprised how often we find properties lacking when it comes to small touches, but not this one. The condo was very clean and everything worked properly. My sister and her husband rented another unit in All Seasons and it was not nearly as well-stocked. There is a Starbucks, a Rite Aid, and grocery store all within a 5-10 minute walk. We took the bus to Main Street and even up the Deer Valley mountain for dinner one night (Cena - very nice Italian). Everything is easily accessible. Kim offered to get us discounted lift tickets at Costco, but we just bought on-line. Still - a very nice gesture. She quickly responded to every question and request. She was easy to reach via phone prior to booking. I always want to speak with the owner before booking and it was comforting to know that Kim was local."

  • Fantastic Home

"What a fantastic home. Just came back from a Family Reunion in Brian Head and stayed at Cool Mountain Retreat. We had family from South Carolina, California, Kansas, Idaho, and Utah. What a wonderful home. We all quite enjoyed our stay. We had 18 adults and 8 children staying at the home and we were all quite comfortable. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, plenty of linens and towels. We had a little issue but called the manager, Meagan, who came over and helped us. Other than that, we had no problems. Kathryn is wonderful to work with and we would stay here again. Do make sure you bring extra toilet paper and paper towels, also trash bags. Thank you Kathryn for the use of your beautiful home."

  • Fantastic location for our DV ski trip!

"My family of 5 (including 3 boys ages 6-12) stayed here during President's Week for our first DV ski trip. This is quite possibly the single best location for families that plan to utilize the ski school at Snow Park Lodge. Powder Run is located directly next door to the entrance to the St. Regis hotel and a simple 3 minute walk to Snow Park Lodge. This unit in particular is located in the A bldg which is the closest to the lodge. The unit is well-furnished with everything one needs for an enjoyable week including all cookware, hot tub, DVD players, WIFI, washer/dryer, lovely porch overlooking Snow Park, etc. There are 2 master suites on the main floor as well as a neat loft with 2 twin beds. My boys loved the loft area. The stone showers had excellent pressure and were extremely relaxing after a day on the mountain. We enjoyed lunch at the St. Regis Bar next door (must ride up the funicular) while the kids were in ski school. We loved this condo and it's supreme location. The owner was extremely helpful in finding and mailing back a few items our boys 'left' in the condo! Overall, a beautiful and large 3 BR with the best location possible for Snow Park. You won't be disappointed you chose Powder Run A Bldg......"
