  • Great place for a large family

"This property was perfect for our needs. We had 2 adults and 6 college students. There were plenty of chairs, blankets, pillows, dishes, pots and pans. The condo had evertyhing we needed. The owner was great to work with. It's in walking distance of the bus stop and the Silver Star Lift. The hot tub was great, too! Loved it!"

  • our new home in SLC

"IT certainly exceeded our expectations. This was our first VRBO so we weren't sure what to expect. We will certainly try to stay at H Street Cottage on our return to SLC. The attention to detail was just one of many aspects. For example, in the downstairs bathroom there was a little stool for children to stand on to wash their hands. There was everything in the kitchen one might need to prepare meals. There was even food in the shelves and in the fridge/freezer. That might be unusual but we were impressed. The shower upstairs was stocked with excellent shampoo and conditioner; not the little samples you get at a hotel, the real thing. The back yard patio is perfect for reading in the sun. The fountain outside the front of the house can be heard from the master bed room. Very soothing. The neighborhood is delightful for walking. You can walk to a great grocery store, breakfast place, and cafe. A much better value, in our opinion, than staying at for example Little America. There were lots of magazines, great TV set up for watching March Madness, perfect little room for reading in the evening. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The washer dryer worked perfectly and naturally it was well stocked with detergent and fabric softener. We wish we could have stayed longer and plan to on our 2016 trip. There is a picture of Diane and John on the front of the voluminous information three ring binder. Diane is even prettier than her telephone voice."

  • Incredible cabin, great location, the kids loved it!!!

"Our stay in the Papa Bear Lodge was absolutely incredible. The property met and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and perfect for a large group. The kids loved all of the fun amenities (foosball, pool, playground, playroom, theater), and it was large enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other all weekend. The kitchen was great for preparing large meals and was very well equipped. The property manager was on top of things, and was there to greet us when we arrived. The beach was close enough to walk to, wasn't rocky like some of the other beaches we've been to at bear lake, and had the very gradual downslope that makes it great for younger kids and parents trying to corral the kids. We also ended up doing several other fun activities that were a short drive away, including hiking and horseback riding. We rented waverunners and paddleboards on the south end of the lake because were were late in the season and all but 1 location had shut down, but I saw a rental location just north of the cabin that was very close and convenient, and had only closed the Saturday prior. Even then it was only a 10 minute drive to get to the beach on the South end. If you're after one of the famous bear lake shakes, I'd try the Chevron gas station on Hwy 89 just as you come into Garden City. Yes, the gas station. It's about 3 minutes from the cabin. The only issue we had (and it was minor) was that the fire pit in the backyard is gas, which is super convenient, but doesn't get as hot as a wood fire, so cooking over it (hot dogs, s'mores) doesn't have quite the same results. We had no issues with booking or payment. We had to change our arrival date, and they re-booked us without any issues. We are definitely planning to use this place again, possibly a weekend during the winter as it's just a great "getaway" location."
