Recent South, Old Town reviews

  • If it's Old Town you want, it doesn't get any better than this

"Stayed here entire month of August 2014. This home is equipped with absolutely everything you need, plus things like cookware, dishes, beds and linens are all top quality. Some rentals give you just the bare minimum of essentials, this is not one of them. Owner was readily available whenever I needed her (like how to run the tv). Separate levels made for better privacy between sleeping rooms. The location is conveniently located just 2 blocks up from Main Street and in the heart of historic and architecturally rich Old Town Park City, which is full of great places to explore on foot. I know most renters think of Park City for the skiing, but the best time for me is summer. So much hiking, biking, walking, concerts, art, outdoor dining and wining right on Main Street. And did I mention the giant Park City Art Festival held first week in August, along with Park Silly Sunday every Sunday all summer long? Park Silly Sundays fill up Main Street with festive music, people, merriment, food and street vendors. This property is also one of the few rentals that will consider pets, so I got to bring my entire family with me on this Park City adventure. By the end of the month, I started to feel like this was my home, and hated to leave! Looking forward to staying there again next summer."

  • Accurate representation of the home

"I traveled to Utah with 5 friends...we are all in our 50's. The home itself is in a perfect location 1 block up from Main Street, an easy walk to all the great shopping and restaurants, and also to the bus to Deer Valley. The walk to the bus is an easy 10 minutes downhill and the ride from the transit station to Deer Valley is about 5 minutes. This is our third year traveling there. The first year we selected a home from VRBO which seemed to meet our needs. Not knowing all the logistics of the area we did pretty good, but last year we decided to look for a home before we left, which is how we found this home. It was perfect in ALL respects. There are two bedrooms AND bathrooms downstairs, which stay cooler than the rest of the house which was perfect for two of us who are always hot! The middle level has the kitchen, dining area, front room, and another bedroom and bath. In an upstairs loft area is another bedroom, bath and separate sitting room. What was perfect for us was the bed configuration. All the rooms can be made into king beds or twins, which is what we chose so we could all have our own beds. All the amenities in the property are top notch. We were very happy with our choice!"

  • LOVE this home! Will stay again!

"Everything about this property is great. From the full kitchen, three beautiful bedrooms and baths, to my favorite, the hot tub, we enjoyed it all. Loved the covered parking and elevator while bringing our luggage to and from the car as well. Plus, it's literally at the base of main street! So much shopping and amazing food. Will come back in the winter for skiing for sure."

  • Perfect Place for a Family Reunion

"Twenty-six of us descended on The Grand Love Shack mid-August for our 5-night family reunion. Our ages ranged from 19 to 87, and we hailed from the Pacific Northwest, the West and East coasts, and the Southwest. We've had a number of previous reunions elsewhere in the country; without question the Grand Love Shack in Park City is our favorite. The owner and property manager were wonderful to work with, very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and its history. The home was impeccably clean, and beautifully maintained. Although the kitchen is somewhat smaller than it appears in photographs, it was extremely well-equipped and highly functional. We fed everyone every night with no problems. And the two side-by-side dishwashers made clean-up a breeze. En suite bedrooms, named for Park City historical figures, were comfortable and pretty. Although each room had window air conditioners, we didn't turn them on. Nights were cool with lovely breezes. We spent a lot of time on the side porch, enjoying wine and appetizers in the evening, or coffee in the morning. My favorite spot was the front porch in the late afternoon...reading a book after a day of hiking, looking at the lovely mountains surrounding the property. Getting down to Main Street for lunch or the town's many summertime events took only 5-10 minutes via a staircase directly across the street from the property. We mountain biked, hiked, rode the lifts for scenic views, went to the Egyptian Theater for a Neil Simon festival, and attended a riveting aerial ski and snowboard demonstration at Olympic Park. We hope to be back for our next reunion, and without hesitation recommend this very special rental. Thank you Jeff."
