  • Perfect Place for a Family Reunion

"Twenty-six of us descended on The Grand Love Shack mid-August for our 5-night family reunion. Our ages ranged from 19 to 87, and we hailed from the Pacific Northwest, the West and East coasts, and the Southwest. We've had a number of previous reunions elsewhere in the country; without question the Grand Love Shack in Park City is our favorite. The owner and property manager were wonderful to work with, very accommodating, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and its history. The home was impeccably clean, and beautifully maintained. Although the kitchen is somewhat smaller than it appears in photographs, it was extremely well-equipped and highly functional. We fed everyone every night with no problems. And the two side-by-side dishwashers made clean-up a breeze. En suite bedrooms, named for Park City historical figures, were comfortable and pretty. Although each room had window air conditioners, we didn't turn them on. Nights were cool with lovely breezes. We spent a lot of time on the side porch, enjoying wine and appetizers in the evening, or coffee in the morning. My favorite spot was the front porch in the late afternoon...reading a book after a day of hiking, looking at the lovely mountains surrounding the property. Getting down to Main Street for lunch or the town's many summertime events took only 5-10 minutes via a staircase directly across the street from the property. We mountain biked, hiked, rode the lifts for scenic views, went to the Egyptian Theater for a Neil Simon festival, and attended a riveting aerial ski and snowboard demonstration at Olympic Park. We hope to be back for our next reunion, and without hesitation recommend this very special rental. Thank you Jeff."

  • Cozy House, Great Location

"We had a great stay at the Little Red House. We found the home comfortable with everything we needed and the owner, Jack, accessible for any of our questions. The beds were comfortable as was the cozy living room with a large sofa and lots of pillows. Everything was very clean and smelled fresh. You couldn't ask for a better location a stones throw from Main Street. We will definitely be back Jack!! Thanks again!!"

  • Very nice home; highly recommended.

"Very spacious - there were 8 of us, and we could probably fit two+ more people without noticeable discomfort. Spectacular views, very solid and attractive modern construction. The Old Town is within 2 minute drive/10 minutes walk. Needless to say - the house is fully stocked with sufficient dinnerware, stemware, silverware, and other -ware for everyday living. On our days of eating in our cooks were not wanting in any utensils/pots/pans needed for cooking. Furniture is abundant, smartly placed, comfortable. On the first day there was a minor issue with the fireplace, which was promptly and efficiently resolved within less than 12 hours. Of course, nothing is ever perfect, so I can find peeves if one looks hard enough. On balance, though - for the right price this is a superb rental for a group of 8+. Some hopefully useful pointers: please seriously consider having a 4x4 vehicle, as getting to the property involves driving up and down the streets in places somewhat steep. Any insignificant amount of snow on the ground, and getting there in a regular drive car would be a challenge. We tried to mostly ski Deer Valley, so have not used the proximity to PCMR; so can't comment on the "walk-to slopes" feature. TV in the family room has HDMI input, WiFi appears to be ISDN, so maybe somewhat slower than what we are used to, although more than adequate for 99% of possible vacation needs like browsing and emails."
