  • Affordable condo close to everything we needed

"This cozy condo was just right for myself and my husband. It was within walking distance to meetings and restaurants. A good- priced find for Park City!"

  • Easy Getaway in Heart of Park City

"My wife and I spent two nights at The Prospector, sans kids, for some spring skiing at The Canyons and some needed R&R. The location is excellent -- just off the main drag and walking distance to groceries and many great restaurants. (We had an excellent dinner at Good Karma, a Persian-Indian joint just up the block.) The unit is clean and well-maintained with a well equipped kitchenette, coffee maker, fridge, cooktop, etc. It's a short, barefoot stroll to the complementary hot tub and pool at the lovely Prospector Square Conference Center next door. There is also a very nice looking, large gym available for guests, but our quads were too sore from tele turns to work out (we saw a guy pulling a weight sled on the astroturf 100-yard dash station)! Overall, this would be a great spot to stay in Park City in any season. It appears that even more improvements on the facade are underway. We would highly recommend The Prospector for your Park City mountain getaway!"

  • Nice place to stay

"We loved the unit it was beautiful and well kept. It is not walking distance to much but there is a convenient bus to take you to Main Street area. If you only plan on skiing park city you can probably get away without a car but anywhere else you'll need some wheels. Would stay there again!"

  • Unbeatable price in Park City for what it is

"My husband and I just got back from a week staying in the Powderloft. We used it as a basecamp to check out all of the Park City area ski resorts. While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few surprises that I wanted others to be aware of. But first, I will say that it is a true to the photos, clean and well maintained. Our first annoyance was that the walls in the Prospector are ridiculously thin. I'm sure this may all be a matter of what you are used to in apartment buildings and motels/hotels, but to us it seemed like everything came right through the walls - babies crying, showers running, people walking in ski boots, etc. (And we live in a townhouse/condo so we are used to living with shared wall space). We found it very hard to sleep the first couple nights, until we found a fan in the loft that drowned out the noise (and even then I had to use earplugs to sleep). The second annoyance was that the "on site" jacuzzi was a pretty far walk for winter. Part of the reason I jumped at this place was because I love an apres ski hot tub soak. The jacuzzi is so far away I felt the need to drive over to it because by the time I would have soaked and walked back, I'd be cold again. All this being said however, the price of the Powderloft is about 1/5 that of similar studio type rentals in Park City, so I feel a bit bad complaining. While it was a great value, I'm not sure we'll stay here again - I think we'd be willing to pay a bit more to have thicker walls and a closer hot tub. However if neither of the above things would bother you and/or you really like getting a steal of a deal, I would definitely recommend the Powderloft. I just wanted to write a review so others would not be surprised as we were by these things."
