  • Unbeatable price in Park City for what it is

"My husband and I just got back from a week staying in the Powderloft. We used it as a basecamp to check out all of the Park City area ski resorts. While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few surprises that I wanted others to be aware of. But first, I will say that it is a true to the photos, clean and well maintained. Our first annoyance was that the walls in the Prospector are ridiculously thin. I'm sure this may all be a matter of what you are used to in apartment buildings and motels/hotels, but to us it seemed like everything came right through the walls - babies crying, showers running, people walking in ski boots, etc. (And we live in a townhouse/condo so we are used to living with shared wall space). We found it very hard to sleep the first couple nights, until we found a fan in the loft that drowned out the noise (and even then I had to use earplugs to sleep). The second annoyance was that the "on site" jacuzzi was a pretty far walk for winter. Part of the reason I jumped at this place was because I love an apres ski hot tub soak. The jacuzzi is so far away I felt the need to drive over to it because by the time I would have soaked and walked back, I'd be cold again. All this being said however, the price of the Powderloft is about 1/5 that of similar studio type rentals in Park City, so I feel a bit bad complaining. While it was a great value, I'm not sure we'll stay here again - I think we'd be willing to pay a bit more to have thicker walls and a closer hot tub. However if neither of the above things would bother you and/or you really like getting a steal of a deal, I would definitely recommend the Powderloft. I just wanted to write a review so others would not be surprised as we were by these things."

  • Amazing condo for a great family reunion!

"My parents and my siblings now are at a point (with grandkids) that we just couldn't have everyone stay in my parent's house, so we started looking for vacation spots that would hold the whole group. This condo was amazing. We rented both sides and stayed for a week. 6 bathrooms made it really quick to get everyone ready in the morning for daily activities. The six bedrooms gave us plenty of room for 9 adults and 12 kids (ages 15 to 1). The beds were comfortable, we had a lot of billiards competitions, the swimming pool was great, the hot tubs on the decks of the condos were an amazing place to watch sunsets and stars. It was just a really magical place. For activities, we did the Alpine slide, river rafting, saw some movies, went out to eat a lot, went shopping, and just generally relaxed."
