  • Excellent Mountain Cabin

"Ref: VRBO I and my family recently stayed in this vacation rental June 26 thru July 3 , 2014. I was extremely impressed the minute I walked in the door. There were three family units staying for a week in this 4 bedroom unit and the layout was excellent for a family gathering. The place was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and basic stuff like paper towels and cleaners. This is important as the location is more remote. The appliances and TVs worked. The linens and towels were well stocked and of high quality. There was a game room downstairs with a nice pool table. This place became the true base for what developed into a fantastic, memorable week. You walk out onto the balcony and there is the Dixie National Forest at your back door. That made for great evening hikes. There is no AC but we didn't need it. You are at 10,800 ft elevation. This rental is ideally located for national park vacationers. It is within easy driving distance of Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce. Cedar Breaks is real near and an overlooked gem. It's also a rental nestled in Dixie National Forest where you can relax at the unit without having to go anywhere. I advise extreme care driving at evening/night as there are deer everywhere. There was a downside finding the place the night we arrived--after dark. The 39 mile marker off Rt 14 was not there and there was no street sign or identifiable street sign or marker to indicate where to turn off Rt 14. This really needs to be fixed. But like all challenges of vacations the nocturnal search for the place ended up being a memorable experience. So try not to arrive after dark! There is a small store 2 miles away at the junction of Rt 14 & 89 and you can get gas there also. Otherwise Duck Creek Village is down the road with a few more services. That place is ATV heaven if you want to do ATVs. I do recommend Pinewood Restaurant, which is off Rt 14 towards Duck Creek. In summary this is an upscale 5 star rental unit, reasonably priced, and in a great location for the national park system. It was as advertised and an excellent value. Based upon the way the place is set up it would also make a good fall/ winter retreat."

  • Awesome Vacation Rental!

"We had soooo much fun at this awesome house in Moab!! What a beautiful property and the views were amazing! The reason I rented this house was 1- because of the 2 King beds! One for me and my hubby and one for my parents who traveled with us. And 2- the private hot tub!! We all loved that! Everything else to us was a bonus! The house was well stocked, clean, in a perfect location, and everyone had an amazing time. My parents agreed that if we ever came back, we would stay in this exact same house. :) Here is what my husband had to say: "The house was wonderful, but what made it excellent was all the attention to detail... Laundry detergent, cooking oil, every utensil you could think of, extra paper towels, a great variety of DVD movies to watch, nice shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms, fun pool towels... All of these things made it more like a home and less like a rental." So thanks to all of you for everything you do to make this house so awesome! Hope everyone loves it as much as we did! :)"

  • Place to Share with Family

"We had a great time at your place. Was my husband and I and our 4 children with their spouses and grand children. We had more then enough room. Was very clean place. We spent one day at Deer Creek Resevoir and another day doing the zip line in Provo Canyon. We highly recommend that and can find coupon for half price on KSL around Christmas time. Even our 5 year old twin grand daughters did it and loved it. There was pretty much anything we needed there. Monica was so accomadating to us. I had a ball getting into hot tub with my little grand daughters and after they went to bed older kids got in under the stars. My kids were upset I did not do more then 3 nights. So next time will do so. Thanks again Monica."

Provo Travel Tips

Try Fly Fishing or Skiing in Utah with Provo Vacation Rentals

Provo is situated on the Provo River which is famous for its fly fishing; however, that's not all there is to enjoy in this beautiful area of Utah. Surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery yet within easy reach of shopping, top-class restaurants and attractions, Provo has something to suit everyone, catering to a wide range of interests. Nestled in a protected area between Lake Utah and the Wasatch Mountains, fur traders were the first pioneers to work and explore the area, followed in the mid-19th century by the Mormon settlers who still have an influence on life in Provo.

Getting to Provo Vacation Houses is Quick and Easy

Many visitors to this area of Utah choose to fly into Salt Lake City Airport and then drive the 42 miles to the center of Provo. The scenic drive is a great introduction to this beautiful area. Provo is easily reached, right on the I-15.

Provo Cabins Provide Space and Comfort

Choosing a Provo cabin or vacation rental ensures you have a great base for making the most of this beautiful area. With plenty of space to store sports equipment and a useful washer-dryer, a vacation home is far more accommodating than a hotel room. For those vacationing with family and friends, it can also be a very reasonably priced option per person. Fully-fitted kitchens and dining areas make feeding a large group very easy. Choose one with ample bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone can spread out and enjoy their own private space from time to time. Provo cabins are located close to the local amenities and most have great views of the mountain scenery.

Things to Do from Utah Vacation Rentals in Provo

As well as fly fishing, Provo is the ideal base for enjoying scenic mountain drives, hiking, river rafting and other exciting activities. Popular things to do include hiking to the Timpanogos Cave, driving around Nebo Loop, or spending the day in Utah's largest water park, Seven Peaks.

In the winter, the area is one of the best for great ski runs, cross country skiing and snowboarding. Sleigh rides, snow kiting, tubing, snowmobiling and ice skating can all be enjoyed here at Provo.

Exploring the Area Around Provo Vacation Rentals

The Bridal Veil Falls on the nearby Hwy 189 are a popular attraction from spring through fall. It is one of the area's most breathtaking natural beauty spots and about five miles up the Provo Canyon. The falls plunge 600 feet into the Provo River. The area is a popular place for hiking in the summer and ice climbing on frozen sections of the falls in winter.

Springville offers more cultural attractions with its Museum of Art and other interesting attractions. This quaint town has some notable Spanish Colonial Revival-style architecture. Being so close to the Mormon city of Salt Lake City, a guided tour of the campus of Brigham Young University can be a unique way to learn more about the area. Temple Square is another popular attraction in Salt Lake City.

Sundance Resort, Deer Creek Reservoir, Park City and the Heber Creeper Railroad are all worth exploring in the area around your Provo vacation rental. The Timpanogos Cave National Monument has clear underground pools and beautiful cave formations such as draperies, popcorn, stalactites and stalagmites.

Utah Vacation Rentals Enjoy All Four Seasons

Provo, like much of this area, has very hot summers with average temperatures well above 90 F. Winters are cold with overnight lows below freezing. In between, the spring and fall seasons offer pleasant temperatures, low humidity, little rainfall and plenty of beautiful scenery.
