The nordic center provides information and maps on the many cross country ski trails in the area. There are 26 kilometers of groomed cross country trailed that are maintained by the resort. In the summertime, the same outdoor terrain becomes transformed into a network of forest and mountain trails. There are 26 to 50 miles of trails that offer entry level to intermediate riding. For those looking for more challenging routes, you can take the ski lifts to higher peaks and enjoy the thrilling downhill switchbacks that snake down the mountain. Some of the trails are quite intense with a vertical drop of almost 3,000 feet. If you are looking for a more sedate family outing, guided rides are offered by a number of local outfitters. If you prefer to explore on foot, there are more than 17 different trails to choose from. If you are confident in your hiking and navigation abilities, you can head out on your own. Alternatively, you can sign up for a guided walk with a local operator.
