  • Cozy and Complete

"If you want a great mountain getaway close to Salt Lake City...this is it. While the cabin is "cozy" the space design is incredible. The owners have thought of everything you need for a fabulous retreat. The kitchen is very well stocked. The beds and linens are great. It's all there. And the owners are very responsive and caring. Wonderful retreat!"

  • Clean, close to Snowbird, not recommended for children/seniors

"My friends and I had a fantastic time celebrating my 40th birthday skiing at Snowbird. The townhome provided everything we needed for comfortable stay only 15-20 minutes from Snowbird. The owner was very helpful in answering questions, for example recommending Lifthouse for discount lift tickets. We loved the large dining table for eating breakfast together. My worst injury from the weekend wasn't from snowboarding, but from falling down the stairs in the townhome. The stairs are very narrow at the top, and make a quarter spiral that requires careful attention. Based on this experience, I wouldn't stay here if traveling with my kids or my parents."

  • Snowbird condo is PHENOMENAL!!!

"Coming from California and skiing predominantly Mammoth Mountain for the last 20+ years, I wasn't sure what Utah could offer (outside of powder) that I needed travel across country to get. WOW, were we surprised! The trip up the valley from SLC was painless on well maintained roads and signage. Once on site, the valet parking was so easy and moving about inside the building was really was a breeze with helpful staff, fast elevators and large hallways. The accommodations (Cliff Club) are truly (5) star; you literally do not have to leave the resort. The in-lodge dining was excellent, with plenty of variety for any palette. The Spa and roof top pool /hot tub / Jacuzzi were the ultimate way to end a day of phenomenal skiing. The walk-in / walk-out ski lockers, Pro shop and rental facility will spoil you quickly; being able to stop at YOUR leisure and simply walk upstairs from your spacious locker, to grab lunch without hassling the crowds, was novel and painless. The staff is exceptional throughout the facility, from the garage to the roof top we were pampered without exception by pleasant, considerate individuals. The rooms were exceptionally well kept and clean; the kitchen was well stocked and we were wanting for nothing except a longer stay! We will definitely be returning in 2015 and telling all our friends to join us!"

  • Wonderful, warm cabin

"I shared with lovely cabin with three good friends for a long weekend to celebrate landmark birthdays and an overdue reunion. We had plenty of room, which allowed time to be together and time for soliditude as well. The wood-burning fireplace was a real plus since the weather was cold enough for snow. We cooked gourmet meals, and thanks to the huge array of kitchen equipment, had everything we needed. The place has a cozy feel, is decorated with lots of interesting touches, and has very comfortable beds and furniture. Plus, Deb the owner is almost instantly accessible and very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommended."

Snowbird Travel Tips

What Snowbird Vacation Rentals Have to Offer

Snowbird is a delightful town in the Little Cottonwood Canyon, deep in the Wasatch National Forest. It is just south of Salt Lake City at a height of 8,600 feet and one mile from the town of Alta. Its elevation gives it 500 inches of snowfall each year, making it a mecca for snow sports enthusiasts. It was named the number one ski resort in North America in 2008 by Outside Magazine, with 2,500 acres for skiing, a vertical drop of 3,240 feet and 85 ski runs spread evenly between beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Getting to Your Snowbird Utah Vacation Rentals

Snowbird is known as the most accessible world-renowned four-season mountain resort in North America. It is just 29 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport which has over 600 daily direct flights to other major cities. A convenient shuttle bus and rental cars are available to transport visitors the 45-minute drive to Snowbird. Within a couple of hours of landing, visitors can be dropping their luggage in their Snowbird condo and heading out to the ski slopes.

Great Places to Visit from Snowbird Vacation Houses

At the top of the Cottonwood Canyon is the town of Alta, founded in 1865 by house miners of the rich silver mines in Little Cottonwood Canyon. Most of the buildings were destroyed by a fire in 1878, followed by an avalanche in 1885, and by the 1930s, it had just one near-bankrupt resident, George Watson. Discover his story and other interesting sights with a visit to the historic town and the Alta Memorial Grove. The Albion Basin offers excellent wildlife sightings with moose, birds, coyotes, foxes and lemurs living in the scenic area. It is also known to have more than 300 species of wildflowers which bloom in the warmer months.

The Best Time to Visit Snowbird Condos

Snowbird and the Alta ski region have average low temperatures below freezing from November through February. From June to September, warmer temperatures from 60 to 72 F (15 to 22 C) can be enjoyed with very little rainfall, making this a beautiful place for outdoor pursuits in all seasons.

How Utah Vacation Rentals Compare to Hotels

For those visiting Snowbird in the winter skiing season, a vacation rental is the ideal place to stay. With plenty of space to dry and store equipment, a washer-dryer in the unit, fully equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace and comfortable beds, it is the best way to enjoy your stay in Snowbird. A vacation home offers a quiet retreat after an action-packed day of activities. During the summer, families enjoy the space and privacy which vacation rentals afford. They make a wise money-saving choice for families and groups at any time of year.

Snowbird Vacation Rentals Offer Plenty of Things to Do for the Entire Family

Snowbird averages 500 inches of low density "dry" powder snow, making it ideal for skiing and snowboarding. It has the longest ski season in Utah, running from mid-November through mid-May

The town of Snowbird has four bars for après ski entertainment and 15 restaurants serving everything from burgers to fine dining. The Cliff Spa has a staff of 40 trained therapists, beauticians and masseurs for the ultimate in relaxation and pampering. In the summer, Snowbird hosts a number of music festivals, concerts and a Brewfest in mid-June.

Winter activities include backcountry tours, night skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, aerial tram rides and the latest adrenaline sport -- heli-skiing. In the summer, enjoy the 1,300-foot alpine slide down Chickadee Run, walk the Ropes Course with a safety harness, ride the ZipRider or pan for gemstones at the Wasatch Mining Company. Climbing, hill walking, horseback tours, ATV riding, fly fishing and rafting are all on offer at this wonderful action-packed family destination.
