  • The Clark's

"We can't say enough nice things about our stay in your beautiful home. The place is decorated incredibly....we love the unique decorations, the cool fireplace and all the different decks. Now let's talk about the wild life. The Stellar Blue Jays were a riot. Every morning they would wait for daily allotment of peanuts and the longer into the trip, the closer they would get to us. I had a blast with the turkeys. The first morning we heard what I thought was turkey's off in the distance, and being a bit of a bird enthusiast, I made a turkey call and they returned the call. When we return from skiing, I made the call as we got out of our car and at least 25 turkeys came running across the yard. Must have been feeding time again! Anyway, Thank you Triste for opening your wonderful home to us. We will return!!!"

  • Wedding familly

"We had rented this house to attend our son's wedding. The manager's Tracey and Shelley were most accomodating. We needed a crib and high chair and they were there when we arrived, along with toys! Everything we could possibly need was there for us. The home was clean and quite comfortable. Slept in the treetop room. So relaxing! Saw moose and all those wild turkeys running around. Grandchildren had a great time, too. Will definitely recommend it and hopefully, return."

  • Great Family Friendly House

"Our family stayed here with some extended family for a few days between Christmas and New Years. The house had so much to offer for a diverse group. We enjoyed the piano, ping pong, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, steam shower, and the kids spent hours on the sleds going down the hills. There were fun little nooks for the kids to explore, a beautiful large screen tv for adults to watch football, open and spacious kitchen for 3+ cooks at a time. We went skiing one day at Sundance and tubing at Soldier Hollow in Midway. The trees were dense and protective and the view of Timp was very impressive. Great deal for a home that is truly a home and not just a museum for nice furniture."

  • Snow oasis

"Amazing rental. Very clean and nice/comfortable furniture and beds. Hot tub is awesome after a long day on the slopes. The location can't be beat with a walk to the main restaurants/deli. The corporate lift passes are a great bonus! Would definitely recommend staying here!"

Sundance Travel Tips

Seasons to Stay at Sundance Vacation Rentals

Sundance is a private eco-resort and the brainchild of actor Robert Redford. When the land was purchased, it contained a small ski resort with a single chair lift. It has since been developed as one of the premier ski destinations near Salt Lake City in Utah. Naturally, the star attraction has added to its appeal and it is a popular vacation destination in both the summer and winter seasons. Aside from the outdoor activities, the spa is a draw for guests to come and stay throughout the year. While there is no off-season at Sundance, the peak travel times are during December and January for the skiing, and in June and July, during the school vacation period.

Summer and Winter Activities at Sundance Vacation Houses

If you enjoy trails, there is no shortage of them at Sundance. Pack your backpack and head up into the hills for a day hike that will take you to a high altitude lookout point. From there, you can enjoy magnificent views over the valley. Mountain bikers can bring along their bikes or hire one from a local outfitter. There are trails to suit all levels of riding abilities. More advanced riders will enjoy the single-track forest trails that traverse the mountain slopes. Local outfitters have horseback riding excursions that take you to explore the beautiful countryside. The Provo River which flows through the valley is a favorite spot for trout fishing. If you enjoy paddling, you can join a kayak or whitewater rafting excursion in season. Golfers can take along their golf clubs and enjoy a round at one of the many top-class 18-hole golf courses in the vicinity of Sundance.

Towards the end of November, the snow starts to pack down sufficiently for skiers to head up the mountain. There are 41 different ski runs spread out over an area of 450 acres, providing excellent skiing for all levels and abilities. Recently, night skiing has been introduced on some of the slopes which means you can extend your time out on the slopes each day. The Cross Country Center is where you can get route maps and information on the cross country routes and trails in the area. Aside from the groomed ski trails, there are also separate snowshoe trails. This is backcountry snow fun at its best. Throughout the season, there are special events and training clinics available for guests.
