  • The Perfect Get-Away Spot

"We stayed at the Lodge at Mountain Village for 7 nights while enjoying a golf outing. It was a delightful spot decked out as I would have done if it we owned it. Clean as a whistle, Bright and light with a great view of the ski run right outside the condo. Everything was new and tastefully done. The bed was compfy and the 2 bathrooms complete. The shuttle bus was right out front and too you in and out of nearby spots but downtown was close enough for a nice walk. We will definitely come back next time we are in beautiful Park City."

  • Moab solitude.

"If you are looking for a great retreat from the crowds in a terrific setting and if you have a four wheel drive vehicle this place is for you. The owner John, is very engaging and has been upfront about the only drawback of this cabin. It is difficult to get to. (On the other hand, that is part of its charm!). The road that Google suggests, Sand Flats, comes in from the West and North and is a legitimate jeep road in many sections. We arrived late in the day during a rain storm and between the narrow, rocky, muddy surface and the sharp curves that hug small canyon walls, it got a little exciting. It didn't take us long, however, to discover a much easier way in from the South. I highly recommend, for those less adventurous souls, that the trek up LaSal Mountain Loop Road to a much shorter segment of Sand Flats is preferable. The final quarter mile to the cabin is a rocky and muddy road that turns off of Sand Flats. Again I highly recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle with ample clearance. The access to the property and the property setting are beautiful on their own. The porch offers great views of Canyonlands, Arches, and the LaSal mountains. Take time to hike around the property, enjoy sunrise and sunset and the great night sky. The cabin itself is very clean, we'll decorated and equipped, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. We used the queen bed in the back bedroom and found it very comfortable. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the best nature has to offer. It took us about an hour and a half to get from it to either Arches or Canyonlands. Those parks are awesome and to some degree when you stay at the property you feel a bit like you never left them. That works out well since, at least in our case, between the road conditions and the travel times we sometimes felt we had to leave the National Parks a little early so we could avoid traveling the jeep road in the dark and rain. Bottom line, if you are a bit adventuresome this property is a great place to stay. You'll make some unexpected memories and have some great stories."
