  • Beautiful Home, Great Location

"Our family (6 adults, 2 toddlers) stayed in the Blue House over Christmas and New Years. We had an absolutely lovely stay. The house is in the most perfect location - one block behind the best part of Main Street, two blocks from the ski shuttles, easy walk to the bus/shuttle hub. Although houses are close together, the house is designed for maximum natural light as well as maximum privacy. Also, despite being lower, there is a nice view of the surrounding mountains from living room and dining room. Some things we loved: 1.) radiant floor heating - kept us warm without all the dry air and noise. (They also have a built-in humidifier). Although the home design is modern and clean, the radiant heating is cozy. Your feet will never be cold. 2.) Well-equipped kitchen. Extremely well organized, and even has all the basics - paper products, baggies, flour, sugar, tupperware, travel mugs, etc. 3.) Hot Tub! 4.) Good use of space. Although the house is not large, the natural light and excellent design maximized every corner. Especially appreciated was the large laundry room. We used all five bedrooms and bathrooms and everyone was very comfortable. 5.) Amenities. The owners stocked all the bathrooms with essentials - great for the person that inevitably forgets something. Nice bedding, towels and bathrobes as well. 6.) Pack-n-play. So nice to have when traveling with little ones. 7.) Garage/boot warmers. Great for getting the gear on/off. We parked in the driveway so had lots of room for gear. 8.) Welcoming and kind owners. They were there to greet us and show us around and were available if we needed anything (but because everything in the home is in good working order, we never had to call!). We would stay here again and hope to return. We recommend this property to families, groups, couples. Another recommendation: Black Tie Ski Rentals. Delivered and picked up skis/boots/helmets right to the door at an appointed time. We didn't even have to leave the house and the cost is comparable."

  • Could Not Have Asked For More!!

"This condo far exceeded our expectations, even with having seen the pictures!!! We celebrated my husband's 40th birthday with friends from all over the country and this was perfect. I found Jane and Stacey very easy to work with and they seemed as excited for me as I was myself; probably one of the smoothest vacations I have planned. The condo is spacious and relaxing, not to mention very well stocked and organized. The bonus features of the hot tub and pool table were icing on the cake. We had a great time and will for sure be back!!!"

"portico was perfect for my extended stay. The unit is cozy and nicely decorated with everything you need. The beds and linens are so comfortable. The manager is on top of anything needed, even a light bulb change! The location is perfect for skiing at deer valley or walking to main street. I will definitely recommend this unit to everyone visiting park city for the weekend or longer. loved it!"

  • Great condo, convenient location

"A group of friends stayed here for a short ski getaway. There are two big bedrooms and two bathrooms on the lower level. The middle level has the kitchen and dining area, the living room and a small bunk room with an attached bathroom. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open, and very spacious. There is twin room in the mezzanine level. Finally the master bedroom and bathroom are on the top floor. All rooms are nice and spacious. Everything is updated and well kept. The only minor inconvenience is that the mezzanine room does not have its own bathroom, so people staying in it have to share the bathroom of one of the other bedrooms (which are all ensuite). The kitchen is nice and well equipped, with nice appliances. There are a washer and a dryer in the condo. As for the location, the condo is just steps away from the clubhouse. The clubhouse has a sauna, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and outdoor heated pool. It is a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the Cabriolet gondola, which takes you to the Canyons base area. Alternatively you can take a 10 minute walk uphill to the base area. And Park City and the other resorts are a short drive or shuttle away. The owner was very helpful answering questions and providing directions before the arrival, and was prompt to return the safety deposit after we left. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. We loved the condo and had a great time at the Canyons. We would definitely stay here again, and we highly recommend it."

Utah Travel Tips

Visitors to Utah Vacation Rentals

Many people underestimate the great wealth of attractions that the state of Utah has. Many people are aware that there are many top ski resorts but do not realize that the attractions extend to other activities or seasons. Golfers will be pleased to know that there are plenty of top quality championship courses available in Utah. And for a good part of the year, the weather is ideal for a round of 18 holes. There are cultural attractions in both the cities and more remote areas. If you are willing to go exploring, you will find a wealth of treasures. Explore old Wild West hideouts and discover the history behind the towns and cities. Outdoor enthusiasts can go whitewater rafting, hiking through the national parks, or mountain biking over the famous slick rock at Moab.

Activities and Attractions at Utah Vacation Houses

Utah is home to several national parks. Perhaps the two most well-known parks and favorite vacation spots are Bryce Canyon vacation rentals and Zion National Park cabins. Both of these parks have landscapes of distinctive red rock and canyons. There are several hiking trails and back roads that you can explore in all-terrain vehicles. It is a region that lends itself to photography and art inspiration. The mighty Colorado River and parts of the Grand Canyon cut across the southeastern corner of Utah. The Canyonlands and Arches National Parks can be found in this area. Lake Powell is one of the largest lakes in Utah and incorporates a length of the Colorado River. It is a huge recreational lake that is open to boating, waterskiing and fishing. There are nice sandy beaches and several marinas with boat launches and picnic areas. This is one of many lakes and reservoirs in Utah where you can enjoy recreational water sports.

For more exciting water activities, join a whitewater rafting excursion down the Colorado and ride some Grade V rapids that'll get the adrenalin going. Day trips and multi-day excursions are available. There are many regions that can be explored on horseback. Guided multi-day tours are available through local outfitters. There are also extensive mountain biking trails in Utah. Perhaps the most famous mountain biking region surrounds Moab vacation rentals. The snow skiing and snowboarding in Utah are legendary. There is an average of 500 inches of snow that falls annually in the Utah mountains at resorts like Park City vacation rentals and Deer Valley ski lodging, ensuring great skiing conditions. The peaks offer some challenging skiing for advanced skiers. Groomed trails cater to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are 13 top quality ski resorts and most of them are within an hour's drive from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Seasons to Visit Utah Condos

The season that you choose to visit Utah will largely depend on your interests and the activities that you want to participate in. The ski season starts shortly after the first good snowfall and the resorts usually open in early December. If there are good snowfalls throughout the winter, the season can last until the middle or end of April. The peak ski season is from mid-December to mid-February. If you are wanting to go boating, rafting, biking or hiking, you may prefer to visit during the spring or summer months. This is also the best time of year to visit the National Parks.

Traveling to Utah

The main travel access point into Utah is the Salt Lake City International Airport. The airport hosts most regional airlines and has good links to most major cities in North America. To access the southern parts of Utah, the best access point is Las Vegas which is located just 70 miles from the state border of Nevada and Utah.
