  • Great Place To Stay

"We loved this home. The listing description and photos are accurate. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions. We would definitely recommend this property to others. The showers with steam baths were amazing. The family loved the fire pit, zipline, and hot tub. The large deck and the rooms throughout the house were great places to gather friends and family together. Some nearby activities, attractions and restaurants we recommend are Sundance for snow skiing and snow boarding and summer plays, the Heber Creeper for an old-time train ride, Jordanelle for boating and fishing, Park City for skiing and world class dining, and Midway for golfing. There are amazing hikes everywhere around this house. We highly recommend this house!"

  • Home away from home is more than an expression

"We - my family - wanted a place for basing a three-week look at Salt Lake City as a potential retirement location. Of equal importance was proximity to hiking/outdoor rec' opportunities in the Cottonwood Canyons. A well-stocked kitchen becomes really important on a longer trip. Between the kitchen and the grill on the deck, we baked and cooked and grilled and enjoyed many meals there. Jim's place had everything we wanted and more. He's a proactive owner who happened to be around when my son and I first arrived. Responsive to questions. The house info' binder in the living room had lots of good tips to local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Jim provided the latest info in our conversations. His directions on final approach were spot on."

"Our family spent 3 nights in this perfect home for our annual summer reunion. This home is spacious, beautiful and easily accommodated our family of 20. The pictures of this home are beautiful but do not do this home justice. It was tastefully decorated, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was open and made it easy for several people to help cook and clean at once. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots/pans/bowls/utensils/2 griddles etc. all we brought was the food. There was plenty of pantry and fridge space between the extra fridge in the garage. There is also a grocery store just down the road in case you forget or run out of something. We ate outside on the huge covered deck at every meal. There were plenty of lifetime tables and chairs to accommodate all of us. The sunsets and view from the deck were amazing. We saw grazing deer more than once at sunset. The evening cooled right off which was a nice temperature change for the middle of August. We even used the hot tub at night. We had a group of adults, teenagers, young children, and even an infant. There is a pack and play, gate for the stairs, and 2 high-chairs we used. There was something for everyone. We enjoyed the large main area. Even when we were all congregated in that space we never felt like we were on top of each other. There was a nice game room off the main living space which was perfect for card games or board games. There were 2 HUGE TV's one up and one downstairs so we could have a kid movie and an grown-up movie playing at one time which was really nice. The game room was amazing!!! We especially loved the shuffle board game, it was fun and unique. There is a cute toy room not pictured that was perfect for the little kids. It had a play kitchen, train set, little chairs, and plenty of toys. The bedrooms were very nice. There is a room not pictured with 2 queen beds. The beds and linens were clean and very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and soap/body wash/ and hair dryer in every bathroom. When we could peel ourselves away from the home we enjoyed swimming and boating at Pineview reservoir, Treehouse museum in Ogden, riding our ATV's on the Avon Pass dirt road just minutes away, shooting grandpas pistols at the summit of Avon Pass, and golfing at Wolf Creek Resort. Check in and check out was a breeze. All the rental information was given to us well in advance. We will continue to use this rental home again and again. We made wonderful family memories."

  • Great Family Getaway!

"Our family of 7 (dad, mom, one teenager, three pre-teens, & a dog) had a marvelous time in this cozy cabin! If you're looking for a getaway that almost "forces" you to reconnect with each other - this is IT! Lots of Games provided (foosball & pool in the basement); one bedroom down (private for parents) and two up (one an open loft) allowed us just the right amount of sleeping arrangements without allowing the kids to secluded themselves from the rest of family. Our dog enjoyed the many walks and travels to the "16 things to do within 16 miles." We even attended the welcoming Community Church! The owner was ALWAYS available (via email) to answer questions or provide assistance. That was helpful! 5 stars!"
