  • Utah 2014

"Our family met in Utah for our Holiday Vacation. This house was perfect for our family. There were lots of places for hide n seek for the grandchildren. Playing pool, ping-pong and Foosball was so much fun. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us to be comfortable and enjoy the house. Vance was extremely easy to work with. I would highly recommend this house for any family or group event."

  • Two minute walk to the slopes with plenty of comfort indoors and private hot tub on patio

"My husband and our 15 yr old teen had plenty of room and comfortable amenities during our stay in Deer Valley. Living area was inviting with many DVD options waiting for our evening family time. Reasonably priced by very responsive owners, we'd definitely come back."

  • Great location!

"Condo was clean and accommodated our family very nicely. Beds were really comfy and the views from the windows were nice. We were disappointed that the fireplace didn't work the entire time (especially because we came during a snowstorm!) as well as either DVD player. The DVD player downstairs didn't have any sound, and the upstairs TV/DVD didn't play the color "red" so the picture was distorted. We tried switching cords but couldn't get it to work properly. But, it turned out ok because we ended up playing board games every night. Still had a nice experience. The owner was really great to work with and we would recommend this place to friends."

  • Loved it! Will be tough to beat for our next UT trip.

"A sure hit for your friends and family! Nine of us in 2 families stayed very comfortably for 8 nights in this beautiful, big house that is nestled off Big Cottonwood Canyon Road. You need a 4X4 in the winter! The house had everything you could want, and the Dismans and Emily were very helpful and welcoming. This house gives you such easy access to Solitude (~1 mile) and Brighton (~3 miles) and other great UT mountains (approx. 45-70 mins away) that we skied 7 days at 5 different mountains (Solitude (2x), Brighton (2x), Snowbird, Deer Valley, and Canyons). All of us loved the serenity, decor, layout, outdoor hot tub, deck, wifi, etc…even the teenagers! You can't beat the snow and lack of crowds in the Cottonwood Canyons! Note: Grocery stores and most restaurants (other than at Solitude Resort and Silver Fork Lodge) are 20-30 minutes away so buy groceries, wine, etc. before driving up the canyon. Solitude Village, however, has restaurants, a spa, ice rink, pizza parlor, and a small convenience store. The only minor annoyances were: (i) melting snow off the nice deck dripping into the hot tub below, brrrrr -- not sure of a fix for that; (ii) a newer but somewhat slow drying clothes dryer, and (iii) the MBR is directly below one of the upstairs bedrooms which can make the MBR a bit noisy given that the floor/ceiling planks are exposed in a log cabin -- nothing you can do about that! You'll still love the house/location."

Utah Travel Tips

Visitors to Utah Vacation Rentals

Many people underestimate the great wealth of attractions that the state of Utah has. Many people are aware that there are many top ski resorts but do not realize that the attractions extend to other activities or seasons. Golfers will be pleased to know that there are plenty of top quality championship courses available in Utah. And for a good part of the year, the weather is ideal for a round of 18 holes. There are cultural attractions in both the cities and more remote areas. If you are willing to go exploring, you will find a wealth of treasures. Explore old Wild West hideouts and discover the history behind the towns and cities. Outdoor enthusiasts can go whitewater rafting, hiking through the national parks, or mountain biking over the famous slick rock at Moab.

Activities and Attractions at Utah Vacation Houses

Utah is home to several national parks. Perhaps the two most well-known parks and favorite vacation spots are Bryce Canyon vacation rentals and Zion National Park cabins. Both of these parks have landscapes of distinctive red rock and canyons. There are several hiking trails and back roads that you can explore in all-terrain vehicles. It is a region that lends itself to photography and art inspiration. The mighty Colorado River and parts of the Grand Canyon cut across the southeastern corner of Utah. The Canyonlands and Arches National Parks can be found in this area. Lake Powell is one of the largest lakes in Utah and incorporates a length of the Colorado River. It is a huge recreational lake that is open to boating, waterskiing and fishing. There are nice sandy beaches and several marinas with boat launches and picnic areas. This is one of many lakes and reservoirs in Utah where you can enjoy recreational water sports.

For more exciting water activities, join a whitewater rafting excursion down the Colorado and ride some Grade V rapids that'll get the adrenalin going. Day trips and multi-day excursions are available. There are many regions that can be explored on horseback. Guided multi-day tours are available through local outfitters. There are also extensive mountain biking trails in Utah. Perhaps the most famous mountain biking region surrounds Moab vacation rentals. The snow skiing and snowboarding in Utah are legendary. There is an average of 500 inches of snow that falls annually in the Utah mountains at resorts like Park City vacation rentals and Deer Valley ski lodging, ensuring great skiing conditions. The peaks offer some challenging skiing for advanced skiers. Groomed trails cater to beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. There are 13 top quality ski resorts and most of them are within an hour's drive from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Seasons to Visit Utah Condos

The season that you choose to visit Utah will largely depend on your interests and the activities that you want to participate in. The ski season starts shortly after the first good snowfall and the resorts usually open in early December. If there are good snowfalls throughout the winter, the season can last until the middle or end of April. The peak ski season is from mid-December to mid-February. If you are wanting to go boating, rafting, biking or hiking, you may prefer to visit during the spring or summer months. This is also the best time of year to visit the National Parks.
