  • Arlingthon house

"We stayed in this house with my parents and enjoyed it very much. It is well laid out, is light and uplifting and in a great location with regard to Arlington, VT. It is right on the Battenkill River. We could bike ride into Arlington, Kayak many miles of the river and fly fish adjacent to the property. Although on 313, traffic sounds did not detract from the experience. We have stayed in 3 other houses in VT over the past 8 years and if available, we would be returning to this one next year. A word about the Battenkill. It has the reputation of being one of the most difficult fly fishing rivers in the world and that reputation is well deserved. However, the owner recommended Tom Goodman a fly fishing guide with Battenkill Anglers who has fished the river for 40 years as a guide and I hired him. I would highly recommend anyone planning on fly fishing this river to Tom. He helped unlock mysteries of the Battenkill for me that I have not, in 8 years been able to do on my own. Again, we will go right back to this house and to Tom next year if both are available."

  • Convenient location, yet secluded

"My friends and I rented this house for a weekend of snowboarding. Although the weather ended up being kinda crummy, the house was great. Super close to the lifts, and a few places within minutes to eat at or grab some groceries. Even though it was on what seemed to be the main road up the mountain, it felt very secluded. The bedrooms were nice, with one of the rooms being absolutely huge (the one with 2 queen beds) and although we didn't need to use any air mattresses, there was plenty of space for them if we had. The hot tub was AMAZING in the cold blizzard-like weather! The house is cozy and we had everything we needed for a fun weekend! Peter was very helpful with answering my never-ending questions prior to arrival. All in all it was a great weekend and id love to go back soon!!"

  • Relaxing and Exciting all in one!

"My family and I love to visit Vermont in the summer. We decided to rent at the Bridges and was impressed with how easy and friendly the owner was. We rented for the entire week with our family and loved having the kitchen, laundry and deck. With children traveling is exhausting but having the condo so close to the pool and recreation center we could spend a day or an hour at the pool and quickly go back to the condo- it had all the comforts of home. We went out to lunch several times but enjoyed grilling on the deck and making s'mores at night. There was plenty of activities for the kids during the day at the Bridges and only a quick drive to Ben and Jerry's, Cabot and Stowe. We are excited to book our vacation next year with the owner!"

  • Nice condo with screened in porch, big tvs, and lots to offer

"We really enjoyed this cute condo in Stowe, which was nicely remodeled (much cuter than the other condos at this resort). Owner Leslie was very attentive and answered all my questions very timely. The kitchen and bedrooms were quite small but the super comfy beds and linens, 3D tv in LR, flat screen in master, lots of movies, WiFi, and the big screened in porch made up for it. Having the washer and dryer in the condo was great for midweek laundry. My parents were with us, and this particular condo had only 5 steps from the parking lot. Some of the others had many, MANY more steps up or down. This resort had lots to offer (indoor pool, game room, sauna, jacuzzi, free movie rentals, extra kitchen equipment, tennis courts, basketball court, playground, midweek towel exchange) and was in a convenient location half way between the mountain and town, off Mountain Road. Our family hiked to 3 of the area waterfalls, Bingham Falls was the favorite because of the huge (freezing cold) water hole at the base of the falls for swimming and jumping off rocks. We went to the Chin, once by auto toll road and Long Trail, but husband and son hiked Hell Brook Trail up and Long Trail down on the north end of the mountain (be sure to buy a hiking map at one of the bike shops). The shops in town were fun, but not very many. Our fav was the Mercantile with all the samples. So much to do, so little time- we didn't put a dent in the list. Very fun area for summer vaca. Could have easily spent more than a week here. Oh and the CHEESE- we totally overdosed on cheese samples at Cabot Annex."
