  • Amazing Rental!

"My family and I rented the Camp at Barney Point for the first 2 weeks of August this year. We have rented many houses through VRBO and this is definitely one of the best. Not only is it all that it advertises to be, but the owner is also very easy to work with. He is reliable, prompt in his communication and invested in having his property be a great place to vacation. The house has great character and fun decor without feeling cluttered, there are more than ample places to hang out and chat and also have family dinners, the kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities you would need. We spent our days swimming at the beach, riding bikes, playing games on the lawn, going to the park, and just relaxing around the house. One of our family members brought their boat and we were able to moor it right off the shore of the beach on the guest mooring. Our evenings were spent roasting s'mores over the fire, nightly games of outdoor ping pong and watching the beautiful sunset. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a fun, relaxing vacation for their family and/or friends."

  • Remarkable home. Visually stunning, while still cozy and amazingly equipped.

"My family traveled to the Couching Lion from Georgia to meet up with our New Englander family members over the New Year. All of us were astounded by this home. The views from here are beautiful and the home is a wonder in and of itself. Even with gorgeous, soaring beamed ceilings, it remained cozy and warm. Thoughtful use of energy-smart construction such as radiant floor heating and foam insulation was clearly employed with a wonderful outcome. We encountered unseasonably cold, below zero temperatures (frigid, even according to the locals) but we were always content inside the home. The kitchen, according to the chefs in my family, was the best equipped they had ever seen. There is a fabulous buck stove to snuggle up next to and a large living room for family board games and movie watching. The open floor plan on the main floor allows for great flow and conversation. Then, there is ample room in the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms for sleeping and relaxing. The home is incredibly clean and Zeph and Beverly are warm and easy to communicate with. Due to the polar vortex we encountered, we only skied two days. Still, we were delighted with the variety of things to do nearby. The kids enjoyed sledding down the hill behind the elementary school for about 30 mins until toes began screaming. The tour of Ben and Jerry's was a hit with all. Our top two favorites, though, were the glass blowing demonstration at the local gallery and the tour of the Trapp Family Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised by the in-depth history and great storytelling we enjoyed at that Lodge. I think that even those who are not big Sound of Music Fans will like it. We highly recommend this home for a memorable vacation any time of year!"

  • The photographs do not do justice to the property

"We rented the Duck and Dog Lodge, sight unseen. We had no experience with the local environment or what to expect. The property is absolutely charming. Very comfortable for the 4 adults in our group... with every amenity available. One of our group was homebound and there was comfortable outdoor/indoor seating for naps and long sessions of reading. Others hiked and shopped. The home was spotlessly clean, the beds comfortable, the systems in place for water, showers, trash, electricity everything was functioning and easy to work. The owners welcomed us with a charming note and were a phone call away. A car is a must as in order to reach the dead end haven where the Duck and Dog is tucked away... one needs transport. A perfect visit to Vermont."

  • Fantastic President's Day Weekend

"We just returned from a long weekend at Ann's home. I cannot thank Ann enough for accommodating our 2:30am arrival Wednesday in order to beat the snow storm. We arrived to a warm, clean and comfortable home. Ann, was very responsive to the few questions that we had. The two living levels are great for families. We awoke one morning completely snowed in but were plowed out by 7:30am. Thank you to Duane who kept the driveway clear the entire time we were there. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Easy drive to Okemo each morning. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home!"
