"My family stayed in this rustic and warm home for a long weekend in October and had the time of our lives. You feel isolated from the world on an incredible peninsula with spectacular southwest facing sunlight. We brought our bikes and within just a few minutes ride down quiet West Shore Road, we stumbled across a lovely winery, then an apple orchard, then antique shops... and just a 5 minute drive was wonderful horseback riding through the Fall colours on trails. We enjoyed BBQ meals on the picnic table overlooking the lake, as well as canoe rides and basketball in the yard. We can't wait to return with our other children in 2015!"

"A friend and I booked this cottage for a girls' getaway and a weekend of relaxation. We found it to be centrally located for all our outings in Waitsfield and Waterbury. The beds, sheets, pillows, and blankets are so cozy and comfortable -- I had the best night's sleep in a long time. For city folk, be prepared to be greeted by chickens on the front porch and hear them clucking away outside. As someone who grew up visiting my grandparents' farm, it brought me right back to my childhood. It was warm enough that we took a quick dip in the neighboring river and managed to: Have breakfast at The Big Picture Theater (top 5 breakfasts of my LIFE -- a must!), flea and farmer's markets in Waitsfield (a must if you are only there for the weekend and want to sample the local flavors and arts), the Ben & Jerry's factory, Cabot Annex and nearby distillery, Cider House & wine shop, antique shops, before ending our night at the cottage doing manicures and watching Harry Potter. Such a wonderfully relaxing weekend! Would love to come back in the fall for hiking or the winter for skiing! Pat was so kind, very responsive, and gave us a call to let us know my friend left her sweatshirt and had it ready when we came back around to retrieve it."

"We stayed here for 3 days with our two young boys and our 50 lb dog. The house is in great shape, we loved the hot tub and the big yard for the dog. The location is close to town, but on a lovely quiet mountain road. They had a great selection of board games, and we didn't turn on the TV once; but we did teach out kids to play Monopoly. The owners were very quick to respond and the property manager was helpful as well."
