  • You can't go wrong here

"The wife and I with our two teenage boys, found this fantastic condo available for a long weekend. I have been renting ski area condos for week/weekend trips for over 30 years. I must say that this was one of the best I have ever rented. FULLY stocked with everything you could need. Pots and pans in excellent condition. (never had that before in a rental) paper products and everyday supplies were abundant. Firewood right outside the door(never lit a fire) but a stack of starts was there at the ready. The short walk (30 Yards) to the slopes made it an easy start every morning and a great mid day stop. We bought our tickets online ahead of time and found we could pick them up Friday night at the clock tower, this made the trip even better. We never had to move the truck or stand in a ticket line. We skied right to the lift. Found the "Bubble" lift was the only line we had to stand in and avoided it for most of the trip. Never a line at any other lift all weekend. The place is may be a wee bit difficult to find, but we were blessed to have the owners meet us at the bottom with the key and give us a personal tour up the mountain. As for the owners. Two of the nicest people I have met in a long time. I can't wait to speak with them again and rent this unit over and over. If there is a downside, it would have to be the steps. Not everything could be perfect!!!"

  • Fantastic House

"I just came back from spending 4 nights at this incredible house. There were 14 of us on a ski vacation to Pico, 4 families with our young adult children in there 20's. Upon arrival I was so happy to see a beautiful house with beautiful snow covered property. Inside the house was spotless and huge! Everything you need is there from spices to extra linens and lots of extra towels. The pictures on the website are spot on but the house is even lovelier in person. There are two refrigerators, one upstairs, one downstairs which was great because we made our dinners ahead of time so we were free after skiing to relax by the cozy fireplace or wood stove. James is the local manager and he couldn't be nicer, there for anything you may need. Joan is the owner and is terrific in her correspondence, always getting back to me quickly and effeciently, never minding any questions I had. We skied Pico which we have been to before and LOVE. Conditions were fantastic and there never seems to be a long line. I love the people there. The best part is, that the house is about 6 minutes away! I would go back to this house in a minute and I hope I get the chance to. Do not hesitate to stay here!"

  • Great place to stay-highly recommended

"This is a beautiful house, very clean and plenty of room, with all the amenities of home! It is in a very quiet, peaceful area, close to Lake Willoughby and Crytal Lake. Soaking in the hot tub after a day of hiking and fishing is a perfect way to end the day! The owner Dennis is a very nice man and we enjoyed meeting him-we look forward to staying again:) P.S. Don't miss the beautiful views from nearby Mt Pisgah"

  • Charming Condo Conscientious Owner

"My wife, two sons (ages 8 and 12) and nephew (also 12) enjoyed almost a week of great skiing in this lovingly cared for condo. We were able to ski out and ski in from a short walk to the front of the building and an easy glide to the Sunrise ski lift. The condos in the Sunrise area are classic 1980s with a modern design. This unit is sunny and bright and has an updated kitchen, which we used every morning to cook huge breakfasts. New appliances, great pots and pans, colanders, mixing bowls, baking sheet, coffee maker (and filters), teapot, toaster, razor sharp knives and all the incidentals you might need like olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, some spices too. The living area was very comfortable with a deep couch and chair to relax your tired bones in, new TV with cable. We lit a fire one night and wished we'd used it every night. The boys shared the two bedrooms upstairs between them. There was an over/under washer/dryer unit upstairs that we used to dry wet gloves and bathing suits. The bathrooms had soaps, toothpaste and thick cotton towels. Bedrooms were tidy and warm with extra blankets and pillows. We took full advantage of the Sunrise Village sports center, which has an indoor pool and hot tub as well as an outdoor hot tub. It's a short drive from the condo, but the boys loved it every day and I soaked my sore muscles in the hot water and sat in the sauna. The owners are very attentive and thoughtful. You're not likely to find someone as conscientious and responsive. Would highly recommend staying at this property."
