  • An amazing summer month in Vermont - July 2011

"We had the most amazing month! Somehow we managed to find the perfect place, the perfect camp, the perfect time (and a Month of perfect weather! How does that happen?). Even though its 86 degrees up here today, the wind is whistling up the hill keeping us cool (and bug free). The girls loved Farm and Wilderness. We loved the area. We hiked, swam, explored, & shopped. We watched birds, frogs, salamanders, deer (no moose… too bad) and the chipmunks of course. Favorite places: Buttermilk Falls, McClendan Gorge, Mt. Tom, Billings Farm, 4th of July at Woodstock High, and The waterfront at Barn Day Camp! But most of all, we love this house!! Hours spent hiking the trails, swimming, playing with the canoe and rope swing, cooking out and dancing on the grass in the beautiful sunsets; sitting on the porch and counting our blessings. Thank you for sharing this piece of heaven. We would love to return!!"

  • Perfection!

"This place had it all! Our family had so much fun that my 18 month old was calling it "home" after we had only been there for 24 hours! It truly felt like a home. It was exactly what you hope for out of a ski house. High ceilings with wooden trim and wood on top of more wood coupled with wood burning fireplaces. It was the best family getaway in a long time and we are looking forward to doing it again in 2015. The location was tucked between the tall trees and was only a 5 minute walk (in ski boots) to a path where we were able to jump right onto the mountain. We parked the car when we arrived and did not touch it again until it was time to leave. We loved the ability to grille and use the hot tub and play board games and watch movies on some really nice televisions. It also snowed 9" just a couple of days before we arrived and it snowed again on 3/22 which made it even better. It was great to be able to take the dog for a walk without having to worry about cars flying by as well. We woke up and managed to catch the tail end of the sunrise one day as the snow flakes fell between the massive trees that surrounded us and it was incredibly beautiful and impressive. Honestly, as I am writing this I wish we were all back there right now."

  • Perfect Yoga retreat weekend!

"We will return time and time again to the Rabbit Overlook property! The location is perfect, house is well decorated and very clean, nice linens & towels were provided, hot tub was very relaxing with a glass of wine, every amenity in the house you need. We had a yoga retreat weekend and the house was absolutely perfect! We cannot wait to return and enjoy another weekend."

  • Nice condo with screened in porch, big tvs, and lots to offer

"We really enjoyed this cute condo in Stowe, which was nicely remodeled (much cuter than the other condos at this resort). Owner Leslie was very attentive and answered all my questions very timely. The kitchen and bedrooms were quite small but the super comfy beds and linens, 3D tv in LR, flat screen in master, lots of movies, WiFi, and the big screened in porch made up for it. Having the washer and dryer in the condo was great for midweek laundry. My parents were with us, and this particular condo had only 5 steps from the parking lot. Some of the others had many, MANY more steps up or down. This resort had lots to offer (indoor pool, game room, sauna, jacuzzi, free movie rentals, extra kitchen equipment, tennis courts, basketball court, playground, midweek towel exchange) and was in a convenient location half way between the mountain and town, off Mountain Road. Our family hiked to 3 of the area waterfalls, Bingham Falls was the favorite because of the huge (freezing cold) water hole at the base of the falls for swimming and jumping off rocks. We went to the Chin, once by auto toll road and Long Trail, but husband and son hiked Hell Brook Trail up and Long Trail down on the north end of the mountain (be sure to buy a hiking map at one of the bike shops). The shops in town were fun, but not very many. Our fav was the Mercantile with all the samples. So much to do, so little time- we didn't put a dent in the list. Very fun area for summer vaca. Could have easily spent more than a week here. Oh and the CHEESE- we totally overdosed on cheese samples at Cabot Annex."
