"The location of this property was perfect for what we were looking for. The price was better than renting a hotel room and it gave us room to entertain. The old has has lots of elegance and charm from yesteryear and the furnace really does keep the house toasty warm. We spent most of our time in the huge eat in kitchen.
We had asked about the firewood situation when we reserved and was told there would be some there but when we got there there was none. I mentioned it to Gina and her SO is having medical issues and said we could get some :(. Luckily someone brought us some incase the lights went out (they had gone out our first night due to a fire in Chester Depot).
A few draw backs were having to bring in our own sheets and towels. When we got there, the cupboards were full of towels with a note saying if you use their persons items you don't get your cleaning deposit back.....that was okay since we were prepared. However a leak in the upstairs sink did manage yo get them wet. Also, one of the full beds has been changed to a queen.
We did not have cellphone service at the house although some of the locals that came to visit did. This is not Ginas fault. It is just a drawback and should be noted. I think the service there was Verizon.
All in all it was a very good trip and I think Gina is a terrific person! I think her caretaker should have been taking care of these issues for her, especially given the circumstances.
I would recommend this place to anyone that wanted to be in the heart of snow country and didn't mind the quirks of staying in an old house!!"

"This past weekend, myself and 15 other adults rented this beautiful home and went skiing and snow boarding at Okemo Mountain. I don't even know where to begin. For starters, if I could give this home 100 stars I would. The pictures online don't even come close to showing how absolutely perfect this house it. It is so spacious, each of the 8 couples all had their own space. The layout of the home is just breathe taking. The windows and fire place in the living room blew my mind.
My fiancé and I had the master suite. Oh my goodnes, the bathroom is STUNNING! Our friends who recently came back from their honeymoon in St. Lucia said this bathroom was nicer then theirs at the resort. The bedrooms are so big, and the beds are incredibly comfortable! The house is so clean and they have everything you need from ipod hook ups to pots and pans. We cooked every night, so much fun utilizing that amazing kitchen.
Okemo Mountain is about 10 mins, just down the road. Super super easy to get to!
The home owner Margie was absolutely wonderful to book with. Made all the arrangements very easy, and was always available to contact.
Oh, and the floors through out the entire home are all heated...how cool!!
We are already planning a trip for next year. Without a doubt one of the most memorable weekends of my life =)"

"This house was everything we hoped it would be. On its own (beautifully landscaped) lot with plenty of privacy, the house is quietly tucked away amidst endless farms and rolling fields, with mountain views in the distance. The house itself is comfortable, clean, and remarkably well stocked- we cooked all weekend and had everything we needed waiting for us. The owner was beyond accommodating- she really worked to make the whole process easy and seamless. We had a great time exploring Waitsfield, and made several trips to Burlington and to Camel's Hump for hiking. If you're looking for a nice place to unplug, look no further."
