"Four of us from the Midwest spent a week in this charming lakeside camp during peak foliage color. The camp itself is very clean and super comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed just hanging out on the dock, the deck, or enjoying the view from inside. We really had a good time taking in the fall foliage festivals in the surrounding small towns. Groton State Forest is very close and offers a variety of interesting hiking options and amazing scenic views. Farther away attractions we took in were the Shelburne Museum and Mt. Washington. We never ran out of things to do, but, if we did there was a lot of information about nearby activities and attractions in books and folders at the camp. The owner was very helpful in answering questions about the best time to visit, how to get to the camp, and in making sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives - in fact, we already have! This is a beautiful part of the state, and a perfect place to stay to enjoy it."

"A lovely home with every perk thought of ahead of time! We spent our fourth vacation there and are already planning our fifth. The home owners are responsive to any questions and the home is clean and so comfortable. Sit by the fire, soak in the hot tub, throw something good on the grill, watch any one of hundreds of movies to choose from or sit on the deck with wine and look at the millions of stars while thinking about taking to the slopes or riding through lovely towns nearby. What more could you want?"

"We stayed at this home for a little over a week during a summertime visit. The house was charming and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved all the conveniences...two full baths, a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, linen, wi-fi, a grill, etc. Plus, the house, bedding, utensils, etc were all very clean. The grounds were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take pictures for my collection. To top it off, John & Jeanne are wonderful hosts. We've stayed at many places in the Northeast Kingdom, but this was by far our favorite!"

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this cabin for 2 weeks, and it was absolute heaven!!
The house itself had everything you could ever need or want. (well stocked kitchen, etc...) and is very nicely decorated.
We spent the majority of our stay outdoors and down by the river. When the water level is not high, there's a little beach down on the left. Follow the path in the back of the yard behind the firepit. I was expecting the water to be ice cold but it was absolutely gorgeous.
Any questions we had for the owner were promptly responded to.
We were so impressed with this place that we've already booked another 2 weeks for next year.
I would recommend this cabin highly!!!"
