  • A home away from home

"We just returned from a weekend in Stowe. We travel there every October but this was our first time staying at this condo. What a lovely spot! There are gorgeous mountain views from each window which provide a feeling of peace and tranquility. The condo itself is comfortable, roomy (sleeps 6) and clean (daily maid service) and the location is perfect (just minutes away from many fabulous restaurants and the quaint downtown Stowe). This condo is also perfect for winter sports enthusiasts! One can ski in, ski out, enjoy a day on the slopes and come back "home" to warm up in front of a blazing fire in the living room gas fireplace. My family LOVED it here and did not want to leave. It certainly was home away from home. Kate, the owner of the condo is pleasant and most accommodating. My family is already looking forward to our next visit. This one is a gem in the mountains."

  • Charming

"This cottage was a wonderful place for our family to stay on our summer vacation. It had plenty of room for us to spread out when we wanted to. We enjoyed it's proximity to the local tourist attractions while still maintaining the local feel. Our family enjoyed swimming in the river, visiting Ben & Jerry's (several times), hiking in the Mad River Valley and touring Burlington. Nothing was more than an hour away. We loved the vintage stove and having fresh spring water on tap! The kids loved playing in the yard when we could get them away from the board games & puzzles that were provided. This home was 100% ready for us to just move in for the week. Deb & Dick provided great cookware to use and every utensil one could need. We can't wait until the next time we are able to visit."

  • Beautiful Grounds and Wonderful Home

"My three friends and I went to stay in this beautiful and spacious home for Memorial Day Weekend. We were looking for a relaxing environment for a girls getaway and it turned out perfectly. The two rooms we spent the most time in were the kitchen and the living/dining room. These rooms have wide windows with amazing views of the mountains and while we read and engaged in other activities, most of the time we just looked out on the mountains and talked about the beauty of the scenery surrounding us. My small dog, Ruby was with us for the trip and she enjoyed accompanying us on the many walks we took on the property. You can walk and walk walk and you are still on the beautiful property. We took many pictures, as the scenery is constantly changing. One morning we woke to a fog filled mountainside, where the clouds descended onto the mountains, looking like whipped cream on an ice cream sundae. The next morning greeted us with an entirely different scene with bright sun and a clear view. If you enjoy birding, bring your binoculars. There is a wonderful array of birds flying around. We found a book on birding in the house and sat in the kitchen with binoculars identifying each one we saw. If you venture off the property, there are wonderful galleries and studios in the area. Driving around allows you to see the beauty of Vermont, but a favorite activity of ours was speaking with the locals. We found everyone to be friendly and we enjoyed getting recommendations of where to visit next from those living in the area. I highly recommend this property if you are looking for a Farmhouse getaway. It was perfect in every way for us and we are hoping to visit again soon!"

  • Wonderful VT Home!!!

"We were in Vermont for one of our son's wedding and we found the perfect place for the 10 of us to stay! This cabin was so amazing! It was even more wonderful than the pictures showed. The property was very clean and there was plenty of information for us upon our arrival. We could not have asked for a better set up. One really important thing about this property is that it is handicap accessible. One of my sisters ended up having to use a wheelchair and the ramp in the garage made it so she could still come and stay with us. We could not believe how much space we had. The basement was very surprising to us! There was just so much room. I could imagine that there could be times that the second kitchen in the basement would be very handy for the right situation. There were plenty of linens and towels in the well stocked linen closets. The kitchen was also well stocked. I was very impressed with the open communication with Rob, the owner, as well. I spoke with him on the phone as well as using email. He was very quick to respond to any question I had which I appreciated so much. The wedding took place at The Old Gray Barn which was about a 20-25 minute drive from the cabin. We ate one meal at Mulligans and one at Cilantro which are both in Manchester. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who might be looking to stay in this area! It will definitely be part of our memories from the wedding."
