  • Weekend Away

"The StromHaus supplied our group with a wonderful place to stay during our weekend at Jay Peak. It was perfect for 3 couples, a toddler and two dogs to stay without feeling over crowded. The proximity to the mountain was the best and dinner at Jay Village Inn completely exceeded our expectations. The only upgrades I would suggest are: Better mattresses on the sofa beds and a TV in the common area upstairs. We were there for only two nights so it was not a huge deal but those mattresses could use some cushion. We will be back!"

  • Full Vermont Experience

"We rented the Timber Frame to celebrate my 40th birthday. Four couples, stayed including two small dogs. Bruce and Donna's house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need to make your stay comfy; you really don't have to even need to leave! Everyone loved the hot tub and sauna, and it was nice to just relax in front of the fireplace. We played board games and enjoyed eating at the Prohibition Pig in downtown Waterbury. The dogs loved being able to run around in the snow (a nice change from the sidewalks of Boston). We highly recommend this house for anyone who's interested in the full Vermont experience. And we are definitely making Waterbury a yearly tradition -- and hopefully staying at the Timber Frame."

  • great family ski getaway

"Our spring skiing trip was better than we thought possible. First time to Smuggs and we were impressed by the range of easy to difficult trails, great snow conditions and the excellent ski school. Our 4 year old had a blast in the full day camps. Loved the magic show. Great view onto the slopes from the condo and plenty of living room space made it easy to take a long lunch or call it an early day and stay in to play with the kids. Only downside of all condos at Smuggs is that it is a hike to get to Madonna and Sterling peaks, but you can take the shuttle if the green traverse trail is too tiring. We'd surely come back."

  • Great place to ski

"Our family of four had a great ski vacation. It is the best ski resort we have been on the east cost. The propriety is at walking distance from the Sugarbush Mount Ellen lifts, which in my opinion are more interesting and less crowded than the Lincoln peak slopes (I grew up skining in the Swiss alps 2x per week). Well equipped kitchen, nicely decorated, great bedding, fantastic movie collection, fire place with as much wood as you would like. It felt like being at home. Anne and Pierre are very responsive, and pleasant. We will come back."
