"My family stayed in this rustic and warm home for a long weekend in October and had the time of our lives. You feel isolated from the world on an incredible peninsula with spectacular southwest facing sunlight. We brought our bikes and within just a few minutes ride down quiet West Shore Road, we stumbled across a lovely winery, then an apple orchard, then antique shops... and just a 5 minute drive was wonderful horseback riding through the Fall colours on trails. We enjoyed BBQ meals on the picnic table overlooking the lake, as well as canoe rides and basketball in the yard. We can't wait to return with our other children in 2015!"

"Our family got together from three different states to enjoy a week together at this beautiful house. We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to renting again! The house is spacious and well cared for. Our group of 6 adults and 1 child had plenty of space inside and out. The view from the lake is amazing. We spent our days fishing, swimming, and boating. We were fortunately to be able to meet Duane who was in town and he was a gracious host. We enjoyed the house so much we only ventured out once, having a lunch in Middlebury which is a wonderful little town. I hope we are able to return next summer!"

"Just spent a week at this beautiful spot on Lake Champlain. The views are as spectacular as the description says. This was a very well equipped cottage with everything that you need to make a comfortable stay. Bikes, kayaks and beach chairs were an added bonus as were the comfortable deck chairs. Although we didn't spend a lot of time indoors and rarely turned on the TV, the inside set up was also great with games and Direct TV if wanted. Owner was close by and very accommodating although we didn't need much as pretty much everything we needed was provided. Deck was on the small side but we had guests over most evenings and could comfortably seat 6-8 people while cooking on the nice grill. Our 2 year old lab loved chasing sticks into the lake from the beach. Would absolutely stay here again if the situation was right...have family and friends in the Burlington area so it was a great meeting spot."

"In July, 2015 nine women graduates of a small liberal arts college in the Midwest (Central College, Pella, Iowa) gathered for a week at Barney Point to celebrate fifty years of friendship. The house was perfect!....long table on a screened-in porch for lobster dinners, large kitchen island for lingering over coffee and breakfast and a beautiful lawn with comfortable seating and a fire pit for enjoying gorgeous views of Lake Champlain, the Adirondacks, and sunsets. We spent many hours on the lawn sharing memories and the joys and trials of our lives. We enjoyed Lake Champlain for kayaking and swimming, the bike path for biking and walking, and proximity to Burlington, Shelburne and other places of interest in this part of Vermont. It was a perfect week! Thank you, MacKenzie family, for sharing your treasured “camp.”"
