"We enjoyed ten days of beautiful fall colors and dramatic lake views from this delightful Vermont camp. The house is set exceptionally well on a raised point projecting out into Lake Champlain allowing for 300 degree water views with a great sense of privacy.
Day trips to Burlington and Shelburne - the museum is amazing - provided a nice balance to sitting in front of the fire while enjoying the distant lake and mountain views.
The house is well furnished and has an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. The owner, Tim, is a very helpful and gracious host.
We are already planning to come back again and I would enthusiastically recommend Barney Point for those interested in an authentic lakefront experience in Vermont."

"Just spent a week at this beautiful spot on Lake Champlain. The views are as spectacular as the description says. This was a very well equipped cottage with everything that you need to make a comfortable stay. Bikes, kayaks and beach chairs were an added bonus as were the comfortable deck chairs. Although we didn't spend a lot of time indoors and rarely turned on the TV, the inside set up was also great with games and Direct TV if wanted. Owner was close by and very accommodating although we didn't need much as pretty much everything we needed was provided. Deck was on the small side but we had guests over most evenings and could comfortably seat 6-8 people while cooking on the nice grill. Our 2 year old lab loved chasing sticks into the lake from the beach. Would absolutely stay here again if the situation was right...have family and friends in the Burlington area so it was a great meeting spot."

"the house is situated directly on Lake Champlain in a small tucked away community of about 10 homes..it was extraordinarily peaceful, especially at night for stargazing as there was little to no ambient light..this section of the Lake is sparsely populated; even across the lake we barely made out 3 or 4 homes.
The area nearby was about "peak" for leaf peeping, many hikes/walks/bike rides..we went into Burlington and Shelburne a few times, with Burlington being a neat, slightly offbeat college town with a variety of activities.
The house itself is very nicely outfitted, with the exception that I would recommend updated seating in the living area and possibly on the upper deck area. We ate dinner at the house all but one of our 7 nights..although there are good eating options in nearby Vergennes and Middlebury if you dont like cooking.
All in all, the place was fine ; the owner was cordial and responsive to our needs, One slight negative (certainly not the owners fault) was the number of flies we had to contend with in the house...hey, its on a lake and it was warm, so I guess that shouldnt be a surprise..but it was annoying."
