"This place is spectacular in the summer and fall. The screened in porch became my go-to spot to relax, enjoy the peaceful view and drink my coffee in the morning. The girls weekend where we enjoyed glasses of wine while sitting by a crackling fire also turned into a lively discussion about how our husbands could enjoy a private boat launch for fishing and guy-time. We are looking forward to a winter trip in the future so we can snowshoe and cross-country ski while enjoying the fireplace in the evenings. Close enough to all the scenic sites in Vermont while being rural enough to really get away and relax."

"We had a fabulous week, weather was perfect, house was great, neighbors were so nice!
Perfect location for kayaking, cycling and exploring VT islands, NY and Canada. We had a day trip to Fort Lennox in Canada! what a delightful discovery! Amazing sunsets every night and a glorious full rainbow one evening. Thanks for the cozy home for the week!"

"My husband and two adult children just spent one week at the Samson vacation property. The home overlooks the lake is only 10 mins from St.Albans. It is a large 3 bedroom bungalow with all the amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, 5 appliances, bbq, 1 1/2 bathrooms, nicely appointed living room and the queen and double beds are very comfortable. The home was clean however some finer "details" such as the coffee pot and wine glasses were missed.
Lake access was a bit difficult as there is a 5' drop and the stairs which had been broken had not yet been replaced. The beach is very rocky, so water shoes are needed and there is no dock so when we left our boat in the water during the day it had to be anchored off-shore and removed daily.
Lake Champlain is beautiful and quite warm. My husband and son fished daily and my daughter and I cycled everyday as the roadways are excellent and the scenery is fantastic. Steve a family member who leaves a few doors away was very helpful and responsive to our needs. We ran out of propane and before I knew it he had the tank refilled.
Note, there was a requirement to launder all linens before leaving but with a 10 am check-out, we felt there was not enough time so we brought and used our own.
All and in all and great location and comfortable home."
