"This fully equipped house is a great place to relax. We were 2 couples looking for some R & R & this was the place to do it. We went cycling, hiking & kayaking & back to the schoolhouse to watch a beautiful sunset. We truly felt like we were at home."

  • Great Place

"Spacious, clean, great to have a pool table and hot tub on the lower level. It is stocked with everything you need. The number of bedrooms (mostly with private bathrooms) was perfect to accommodate our large group. Quiet location with nice views and not too far from Killington. Would definitely stay again."

  • A perfect getaway!

"This is the second time we've stayed in this house. Everything was spotless and well-stocked. Linens and towels are provided, which makes for much lighter packing. The kitchen is easy to negotiate, and there are plenty of pots, pans, utensils, plates and glasses. The cable TV gets plenty of channels, which keeps the children and teens occupied during any downtime. The water pressure is great, and the hot water lasted through four (long) showers. The location is perfect. You can walk the few blocks to Jamaica Village, where there is a small grocery store, a yoga studio, and some art galleries. Jamaica State Park is only minutes away, and there are hikes and swimming there. Over the years we have been coming to Vermont, we have found many swimming holes, hikes, and lakes, and they are all easily accessible from this area. Manchester is less than a half hour away, with its outlet stores and restaurants. The area is also great for biking. There are numerous options for short and long rides with varying degrees of difficulty. Everyone is extremely friendly, from the neighbors to the owners at the grocery store to the vendors at the farmers' market. The bedrooms vary in size, but the master bedroom and one other are very large. The shelves are full of an interesting selection of books, and the area is quiet enough to sit back and enjoy them. Pets are allowed, and our dog had a wonderful time exploring the area and resting on the rugs. All in all, we had a great experience in this house both years we stayed here. The only caveat I would offer is that the stairs to the second floor are rather steep with a low railing, so keep that in mind if anyone in your group might have difficulties. Of course, there is a bedroom and a bathroom on the first floor if that is the case. I highly recommend this property!"

  • Stowe LAX weekend

"Very quiet, private cabin, convenient to all Stowe has to offer. The owner is on property and one of the loveliest people I have ever met! It was nice to have a kitchen to make our own meals because getting into a restaurant on lacrosse weekend is crazy! Also nice to have a washer and dryer."
