  • Perfect location, perfect host

"My spouse and I have been travelling to Vermont for 30 years. Just discovered Mary's little piece of paradise this year, spent 10 nights in July with our teen aged daughter. Will definitely be returning in both summer and winter. Close to everything, yet perfectly secluded. Mary is the perfect host, very gracious and welcoming, along with her dog Sunny and cat Taffy. Fresh salad greens from the garden were appreciated. Great private swimming pond, fire pit and perfectly equipped cottage. Our daughter loved her little loft which soon became her nest. Chickens and rooster across the road very entertaining and the 3 dozen fresh eggs were the best we have ever eaten. Thanks Mary"

  • Just lovely

"I just stayed at this rental for a 3-day Labor Day weekend. I got married on Saturday and used it as a place for my bridal party stay at the night before, the elderly guests that couldn't camp the night of, and me and my husband to stay the night after. It was SO fabulous. I'd recommend it to anyone. Very spacious and loved the hammock. It was a great place to do per-ceremony pictures at (there's a rustic barn) and was so cozy. I'd definitely look into this place if you're getting married at Button Bay State Park."

  • Nice little cottage and area for a holiday

"The cottage was clean, modestly furnished and quite comfortable for 3-4 people. The kitchen has a lino floor and the living room and bedrooms are carpeted. The main problem was the double bed whose base is broken so that it tips on one side so not very comfortable for one person on that side. The single beds were OK if rather soft. The terrace could do with a lick of varnish or paint, and the outdoor furniture was rather beat up. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. There is a nice garden and large pine tree for shade. The TV in the bedroom has broken pixel ghosting so not really watchable, not that it really bothered us. The local person who looks after the place and cleans greeted us and was helpful, although we didn't need to contact her for anything else during the week. Beautiful area for a holiday, we really enjoyed the Barton lake and other lakes and rivers. May pond a few kilometers off is lovely. It's about a 5-7 minute walk to Crystal lake, across a main busy road, so you probably wouldn't want to let kids walk down there alone. There was little traffic on the road at night so quite quiet."

  • Super Convenient!

"A group of us went up to Killington last weekend for some spring skiing. The condo is bright, open, and quite spacious....even with 8 people and a dog! Owner and manager were easily accessible via email and text for any questions we had, as well as accommodating to our schedule. The best part for me was that I was able to bring my dog!! Very few owner allow pets, especially dogs of a larger size. Location of the condo was also fantastic...just a 2 minute walk down the hill and across the parking lot to the Sunrise Village Lift. This lift does not require a lift ticket, and was fantastic for our friend who went skiing for his first time. He was able to ride the lift over and over for free, and practice down a green trail. It is also great for advanced skiers - take this lift and ski over to Bear Mountain as a warm up (takes about a minute), pick up your lift ticket and proceed to enjoy the rest of the mountain via Skye Peak Express Lift. Just make sure the lift is open when you plan to go...It tends not to run early and late in the season. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely rent out this unit again."
