  • Great location, beautiful home

"We loved our stay in this beautifully furnished, cozy condo. Sitting on the balcony listening to the river, sitting by the fire chatting or sitting in comfy bed reading - we loved it all. Walking distance to shops & restaurants ( we enjoyed dining at The Whip restaurant). We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Don & Joanna for having us."

  • Summer Wedding Stay

"This is a wonderful house with an open an spacious feel, lots of privacy and very attentive management. It is just off Rt 108 (set back on a side road), convenient to Smuggler's Notch, Jeffersonville & Cambridge. Wonderful view across an open field. Great yard and deck. The kitchen is awesome--high end appliances, great flow and a large breakfast island. Interior is beautiful. Wi-Fi is excellent access and there is a computer for guests to use. The living area is very comfortable. The vibes are good and the place is thoroughly relaxing. There are toys available for kids under 9. Everything was well stocked. We had a minor AC issue the first night and the manager (the owner's son-in-law) was right over the next morning to swap out a replacement. Highly recommend this property."

  • Remarkable home. Visually stunning, while still cozy and amazingly equipped.

"My family traveled to the Couching Lion from Georgia to meet up with our New Englander family members over the New Year. All of us were astounded by this home. The views from here are beautiful and the home is a wonder in and of itself. Even with gorgeous, soaring beamed ceilings, it remained cozy and warm. Thoughtful use of energy-smart construction such as radiant floor heating and foam insulation was clearly employed with a wonderful outcome. We encountered unseasonably cold, below zero temperatures (frigid, even according to the locals) but we were always content inside the home. The kitchen, according to the chefs in my family, was the best equipped they had ever seen. There is a fabulous buck stove to snuggle up next to and a large living room for family board games and movie watching. The open floor plan on the main floor allows for great flow and conversation. Then, there is ample room in the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms for sleeping and relaxing. The home is incredibly clean and Zeph and Beverly are warm and easy to communicate with. Due to the polar vortex we encountered, we only skied two days. Still, we were delighted with the variety of things to do nearby. The kids enjoyed sledding down the hill behind the elementary school for about 30 mins until toes began screaming. The tour of Ben and Jerry's was a hit with all. Our top two favorites, though, were the glass blowing demonstration at the local gallery and the tour of the Trapp Family Lodge. We were pleasantly surprised by the in-depth history and great storytelling we enjoyed at that Lodge. I think that even those who are not big Sound of Music Fans will like it. We highly recommend this home for a memorable vacation any time of year!"

  • Perfect Mountain Getaway

"At the recommendation of a friend we booked this condo for a long weekend of skiing with our children. The condo was beautifully furnished, clean and a great place to relax after a day of skiing. I wish I had more time to enjoy the spa and Gym but at least the kids had the opportunity to swim in the pool. It wasn't easy to get them out! We're hoping to return again next winter and are even considering a stay during the summer so we can do some hiking and get to enjoy the tennis courts and spa."
