"We rent a home every year for vacation. Owlswood is incredible. It can not even compare to any other home we have stayed in. The house is magnificent. It is beautiful, inside and out. So cozy and comfortable. The surrounding towns are wonderful. We saw the greatest fireworks in Manchester over the July 4th weekend.Suzanne, the owner, is such a warm and wonderful person. She was always prompt with communications. She checked in with us after arrival to make sure everything was ok and we were settled.I have never had an owner be as friendly and available as she is.She kindly let us stay later on check out day because no one was renting for a few days after us. It was such a relaxing week, and we will definitely be returning because there is so much to do in the area. I will be renting Owlswood again."

"This propery was exactly as described! The view of the lake is stunning and since it is marshy at the end where the house is located the lake side of the house is very peaceful. The numerous windows on the lakeside let in tons of light and were great for bird watching.
The traffic from the road is rather loud (especially the occasional tractor trailers!)but after a day full of outdoor activity we slept very well!
We had two elderly dogs with us and appreciated the owners willingness to let us bring our furry friends. One word of warning on that...the floors are painted wood which is great for keeping things clean, but lacks the traction needed by old, big dogs. More than once my German Shorthaired Pointer fell and couldn't get up without assistance.
The kitchen is wonderfully equipped. Using the washing machine is tricky, but once you realize that the door is finicky it works like a charm and it was great to have!
Overall a great place to stay in a central location!"

"We came up to see foliage which was fantastic but staying here MADE our trip. This complex is very high end - timeless contemporary design - skylights and huge windows allow sunlight and the colors of the maples to filter through the home. Bedding was crisp white duvets and good sheets/towels. The Common Man restaurant is just around the corner - fabulous food - anything but common. We are planning a winter visit and will certainly book this rental again. We have been looking for a ski rental close to the base but not too close as we prefer to avoid the crowds and noise from the lifts. This condo has 3 bedrooms which sleep 6 but also has a loft perfect for kids. It is clean, bright, modern and uncluttered. Many good restaurants with fine or casual dining nearby - try Peasant in Waitsfield too!"

"My family and I were extremely happy with our stay at Gail's "Barton House". We totaled 8 adults, 6 children, and 2 dogs. We all had plenty of room and were very comfortable. House was fully stocked which included toys for kids, a paddle boat, large BBQ, fire pit, and so much more. My wife and I were amazed that the TV was not turned on once. The house was very clean and accommodating. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!"
