  • Wonderful Cottage and Helpful Hosts

"My husband and I just spent an extended ski vacation in Norma and Joe's comfortable, clean and thoughtfully furnished cottage. The description and pictures give a good idea of what is there. We hope to return next winter for another ski vacation. Norma and Joe were very hospitable. The refrigerator was stocked with eggs, milk, OJ and Coffee. And there was fresh fruit on the table. They were ready to offer suggestions about activities and lent us snowshoes one day for a walk on a nearby trail. They also kept us in baked "goodies" which we really enjoyed. I cooked every day and the kitchen is very well stocked. I always had the pot, pan or utensil I needed. And they provide flour, sugar, oil, vinegar, spices. It was so nice to be able to cook our meals. The internet signal was strong and we loved the DirectTV with the Tennis Channel. It was a real luxury for us. The cottage sits on a slight rise just off a town maintained, paved road. This is very important in Vermont during "mud season." And the crushed stone driveway was well-maintained. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and quilts. The bedrooms (and bath) have small built-in heaters which keep you toasty when the temperature gets below zero. There are plenty of carpets and throw rugs also. So bring your warm slippers and enjoy this lovely cottage."

  • We LOVED the Carriage House!!

"This place was perfect for us...in beautiful Manchester Village, close to wonderful restaurants, hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing. Bright and spacious and quiet Carriage House felt like our home...wonderful to come home to at the end of the day...fully equipped kitchen with table overlooking garden with stone wall, cozy gas-burning wood stove, comfy bed. Have already booked for next winter!!"

  • Wonderful VT Home!!!

"We were in Vermont for one of our son's wedding and we found the perfect place for the 10 of us to stay! This cabin was so amazing! It was even more wonderful than the pictures showed. The property was very clean and there was plenty of information for us upon our arrival. We could not have asked for a better set up. One really important thing about this property is that it is handicap accessible. One of my sisters ended up having to use a wheelchair and the ramp in the garage made it so she could still come and stay with us. We could not believe how much space we had. The basement was very surprising to us! There was just so much room. I could imagine that there could be times that the second kitchen in the basement would be very handy for the right situation. There were plenty of linens and towels in the well stocked linen closets. The kitchen was also well stocked. I was very impressed with the open communication with Rob, the owner, as well. I spoke with him on the phone as well as using email. He was very quick to respond to any question I had which I appreciated so much. The wedding took place at The Old Gray Barn which was about a 20-25 minute drive from the cabin. We ate one meal at Mulligans and one at Cilantro which are both in Manchester. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who might be looking to stay in this area! It will definitely be part of our memories from the wedding."

  • One of a kind place!

"My wife and I spent a week here in October. We did several day trips all over the area, but each time we pulled in the driveway we said, 'it just doesn't get any better than this". You can see for miles and not see another house in your view. Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed eating the local produce from the farmers market. How can you capture in a photo or express with a few words the dynamic beauty and peacefulness of this place? You just have to experience it, and I hope we get to do it again."
