  • Cozy and Rustic Vermont Home with Vintage Eclectic Charm!

"We really enjoyed our stay in Steven's home! It is cozy and rustic and filled with so much charm! It seemed as if every piece of decor and furniture had a story to it, filling all the rooms with energy and character. I loved the mirrored wooden wall screen in the living room! I had fun just exploring the house to see what vintage item was lurking in the corner. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, plates, etc. you would ever need. Great room to cook together with friends and family. Nice big bathroom with unlimited supply of hot water. The beds were clean and comfortable and kept me very warm (thumbs up to the down comforters!!!). Loved the wood stove - took a little bit of time to learn how to start a fire, but we were pros by the next day. This place would have been perfect for our original group of 8 - and very roomy for our group of 5. After a day of snowboarding the hot tub would have been wonderful, but unfortunately, we started the fire too late in the evening and it takes a lot of time for all that water to warm up. It didn't ruin our stay at all - we were content just hanging out inside where it was warm. :) But that's a definite to-do item on our next visit! I didn't bring my dog with me, but I wish I had! The location is spectacular. At night, you can see every star in the sky! In the morning, I watched the sun rise behind the mountain in the distance. Great place to get away, recharge, find some peace, or spend quality time with friends and family."

  • The whole family came

"The goal of our stay was to have the whole family in residence at some time during the week (even exes). With water access. And we wanted to have our 30 pound dog around as well. Even searching 11 months before our stay, this was the only destination that fit the bill. It met our needs -- 13 for dinner, 11 in residence one night -- and then far exceeded them. A good location, near hiking, breweries, good restaurants. And a fantastic view, looking across the lake at the Adirondacks, with magnificent sunsets. We had outstanding weather! Favorite activities: canoeing, hammock time, sitting in ADK chairs with binoculars and watching boats go by. And everything in the house worked! (Picture 8 people simultaneously huddled over their iPads and phones in the morning staying in touch with the world.) Even the TV, which nobody bothered to watch. Huge living room, ideal for nightly games. All had a wonderful time, from the 3 year-old to the 72 year-old."

  • Wonderful home, area and hosts

"We just completed our week stay at this wonderful log house. The house is immaculate and the yard and plants were just gorgeous. High quality kitchen amenities made our cooking adventures even better. Our hosts were super responsive and made us feel very welcome. The Mad River Valley has a vast array of fun things to do and we ran out of time, before we ran out of activities. We rented Mtn Bikes for the week and rode Blueberry Lake trails, swam in the Mad River, hiked and attended a great music festival. it was hard to leave and we plan to be back next year. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area."

  • Lovely, peaceful cottage on the water

"I had a wonderful stay at the cottage this weekend. I loved stepping right out onto the beach to take a walk along the shore or go for a refreshing dip in the water. I enjoyed sitting on the cozy porch every morning, taking in the views. (There is great wifi, also making the porch the perfect place to get some work done.) There are many activities nearby with something for everyone, from an awesome bike path out over the water, to canoes, hiking, running, sailing, and much more. I would definitely recommend it for families or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on the lake. I look forward to going back in the future and spending more time at Camp Cunningham!"
