  • An amazing getaway!

"We have been bringing our family here annually for more than ten years now. We originally came to Chester for our annual ski trip because of its proximity to great ski resorts (Okemo, Bromley, Magic Mountain). We fell in love with the town, the house and the wonderful apartments inside. We have since stayed here in summertime and the fall, taking advantage of the scenery and the great outdoors in Vermont. The drive up to Chester from New York only takes about 4 hours and the town is situated more or less in the middle of the state, so everything you want to do in Vermont is easily accessible. This magical colonial barn has been renovated to modern comfort and convenience without losing the charm of its history. It is always clean and cozy when we arrive. When the fireplace is lit and you are relaxing on the couch, looking out past the lawn and into the Vermont woods, there is nowhere else you'd rather be. Our children grew up here on our yearly visits, playing cards and cooking dinners after skiing, building snow forts and snowmen, trekking into town, and playing outside. Every visit we are greeted as long time friends. We all truly feel like we have extended our family thanks to the hospitality and friendship of this Chester family and their fantastic New England barn. It is a place full of the best memories and a location that we treasure. Your stay here will be remarkable!"

  • Wonderful Summer Getaway

"We were looking for a fun filled getaway for a long week-end and this property met all of our expectations. The owner was accommodating and ensured we had the best services available to us during our stay. The staff at the resort were always friendly and eager to help. We were greeted with a smile at the valet parking and the receptionist at the front desk took pleasure in answering any of our questions. Our suite had a king bed and a pull-out sofa that our two boys (ages 8 and 5) slept on. We were impressed with the well equipped kitchenette in the suite which aloud us to enjoy some meals in our room. We also enjoyed drinking our coffee on the balcony over looking the beautiful Stowe mountain view. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful sunny days during our visit which we spent poolside, enjoying the magnificent outdoor heated pool and two poolside hot tubs. The boys also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and chess outdoors (on the over sized chess board located near the spa entrance). Other outdoor activities we enjoyed during our stay in Stowe included hiking and biking. We would not hesitate to return to this property to enjoy another beautiful stay in Stowe Vermont!"

  • Wonderful getaway spot!

"We had a very enjoyable stay at your one bedroom(really two) apartment in Pownal. The apartment was as presented and was the perfect spot to enjoy hikes in both Vermont and Massachusetts. Several afternoons were spent in the lovely and protected court yard. Your suggestion for walks on Burrington Road was a great one! Very quiet and great views… Chris Miller was the best. He was very prompt in responding to our questions and was most helpful."

  • The pictures don’t do the house justice

"We were a party of 12 that fit into the place more than comfortably, because it’s extremely large and spacious. The place may sleep 12 – 14, but it’s definitely designed to host and socialize with its large open space, pool tables, darts, 90s VHS, Sega Genesis with Sonic, hot tub, deck…the list goes on, with never an opportunity to have a dull moment. Logistically: - the location is close to both Mt. Snow and Mt. Stratton, and the town itself - the driveway if you want a measure fits 4 to 5 cars comfortably - onsite laundry was key To top it off, our owners/hosts of the house were terrific; responsive to every question and request in a very prompt manner, even in the wee hours of the weekend. Highly recommended place, and would encourage anyone to stay here!"
