"We are 10 Norwich University alumnae, class of '64. This place was perfect for our annual trip back to the area. It was clean, comfortable and well maintained. It has everything you need for a carefree stay. Charlie, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with. We've been doing this trip for many years and this is the best place I've found. No one had any complaints. It's simply a great old house. You'll love it. We'll be back."

"My family loved this condo so much! The hosts and Amenities were amazing! Mike was very warm and inviting! Making sure we had all the 411 and things we needed to really enjoy our vacation! The ski 0n/0ff was the BEST! We were on the mountain in minutes enjoying its amazing trails! The daycare staff was totally on point and made me feel completely safe leaving my 11 month old for the day so my husband and I could board to our hearts content! We will definitely be returning and hopefully using Mike's condo again! Highly highly recommend this rental!"

"We absolutely adored our time at this lakefront cottage. It was more than we could ever have asked for. We spent 4 nights over New Years here and fully unplugged. I honestly didn't know what to expect at the cottage as the pictures didn't show much, but there's no way that pictures could do justice to this well appointed and thought out place. We stopped for groceries in Colebrook, NH on our way up, and we got many different spices and condiments, none of which we needed as the kitchen is impressively stocked. We had grand plans of snowmobiling and skiing the week away, but the weather had other plans. It rained the entire week before we arrived so the snow was hard packed. I was really bummed out on my drive up all the way from South Carolina, but quickly stopped worrying about it upon arrival. We had more fun exploring the area, visiting Montreal, going on hikes, cooking dinners, and playing silly board games with the wood stove burning than any amount of snowmobiling could have brought. We were so sad to leave and we're already planning on our return trip to enjoy this great spot in the warm weather this summer! Thanks to Joannie for helping us out with anything we could possibly need on our trip and to Judy for sharing her lovely place with us."

"My husband and I stayed a week recently and wished we could have stayed longer! Millrace House, nestled along the Black River, is just adorable and the owners very accommodating. I am pretty sure they ordered the picture-perfect weather for us too! We grilled several nights just so we could be at the house, but we did have breakfast at Martha's Diner right around the corner one morning. There are two double beds upstairs - the original stairs! - and one twin downstairs, with two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed and there's even a washer and dryer. I loved all the old look that was really new, and all the unique details. Lots of storage and the place felt very large. It was clearly our favorite rental from HOMEWAY thus far. Jean told us about a walking loop, so each morning we walked 2.5 hilly miles through a covered bridge and along some picturesque back roads. We love that there is less people and life there seems unhurried - the perfect vacation. The house is centrally located to all activities - and there is much to do in the Northeast Kingdom in the Fall - we took the Sunday International Brunch Cruise on Lake Memphremagog, only minutes away in Newport, kayaked the Clyde River, hiked Mt. Pisgah, saw 17 covered bridges, took an ATV tour in Danville, saw a recent movie for $4/person in St. Johnsbury, and a parade and craft fair in East Burke. We did much traveling by car but the scenery is so pretty and there is no traffic so it is a pleasure. On the way home we stopped at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier for lunch - amazing! And don't forget to try a maple cremee!"
