"The pictures don't do this place justice. In the pictures, you may think that the place looks 'retro', but its not. The place is beautiful and very comfortable with plenty of space. We had 12 middle aged guys staying there, and nobody had any issues at all. The view is wonderful. The appliances and hot tub were all excellent. It's everything we hoped for at an affordable price. We also wanted to order additional channels (sporting events), the manager was extremely attentive and quick in responding to our request. I'm looking forward to booking this place next year."

"We had a great experience! We are a family of 6 and this unit sleeps 6 - so it was a little tight. However, the unit is clean, the beds were very comfortable, it was well stocked, there is plenty of parking right in front of the entrance, and there was a nice lawn space where the kids could run around within view behind the unit. There is so much to do at Top Notch itself - the resort is fabulous and this unit's location is wonderful since it is only steps away from the pool/spa/restaurants - plus the Stowe/Smuggler's area has so much to offer that we really only slept there and used the unit itself as a transfer station, so it was perfect. We were there for a lacrosse tournament, but extended our stay for a few days to enjoy the area. I am not giving it 5 stars because, while there are 2 full baths, they are both upstairs in the 2 bedrooms and there is no 1/2 bath on the main level. Also, a few little things - for instance - the wall a/c units (which were perfectly adequate from a cooling standpoint) were somewhat loud w/rattling vents. We also wanted to open the windows and enjoy the fresh mountain air, but the windows did not have screens (the two sets of sliding doors did have screens). Again, little things. The owners excel at communication and promptly provided us with numerous local contacts (which we fortunately did not need b/c everything went smoothly) plus all the information we needed in terms of logistics, etc. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are considering a return visit! Some faves: Arbortrek Canopy Adventures/Pie-Casso - they also deliver!/Sushi Yoshi (we love the one at Killington, too!)/Mi Casa, for kids and adults/I.C. Scoops - yummmm/The Harvest Market for coffee, baked items, upscale picnic foods/Stowe Craft & Design/the Alpine Slide/the gondola ride to the top/Bingham Falls - the list is endless!"

  • Winter Wonderland

"Our family of 6 stayed over the New Years holiday. We experienced the full Vermont winter with plenty of snow and below zero temperatures. The house was always warm and comfortable to return to after the cold outside. We skied, sledded and snow shoed. Everything was as the owner explained and she was a pleasure to work with."
