  • Perfect Winter Retreat

"everything was exactly as promised, communication with owner was flawless and made arrival and departure simple. Okemo/Jackson Gore was very enjoyable for the whole family - friendly staff, not getting gouged on prices, courtesy on the mountain. Definitely would use the house again - note it a 10-15 min trip to the ski resort but this was not a issue, the house felt very private. I would recommend this place to a family or a couple looking for a quiet retreat. The resort down the road also had a good pool/sauna which we enjoyed (need a car to access)"

  • Excellent Time in Vermont!

"Just wanted to let you know how much my family and I enjoyed our stay at your house. We had a wonderful time! You provided everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable, Your house is well decorated and truly a "Vermont style" house...it is also larger than the pictures would indicate. There were 8 of us and no one felt hemmed in. We all had plenty of room to move around. Kyacking was a hit as was the ground floor tv that let my son watch the World Cup. I would recommend this house without reservation."

  • Secluded Vermont Cabin

"Even before we arrived at the cabin, the owner was most responsive in answering my questions which is why I chose this cabin for our vacation. As soon as I walked in, I felt right a home as the photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities. The property was clean but some trimming of the greenery facing the road could have been trimmed so that we had a better view of the lake. The description is that it is secluded, which to some extent it is, but it is also adjacent to Scenic Route 100, so there could be a lot of car and motorcycle noise during the day. However, the location was most convenient as it afforded us access to many other parts of Vermont to explore and to hike. The biggest town, Ludlow, with shopping and restaurants, was about 15 minutes away. Everything we needed for a week's stay in a vacation cottage was provided. The cabin had a dock but it had gotten damaged in the July 4th rains just before our stay, making it unusable. The owner was generous enough to give us a discount on our rental fee for the week, which was unexpected. Should we return to Vermont for a vacation, we would certainly consider staying here again."

  • Wonderful House in the Vermont Woods

"We stayed two weeks in this lovely house. Up in the woods above Plymouth on a dirt road, the house is surrounded by trees, with a meadow in front and a cleared area off the back of the house. The interior of the house is wonderful - very open and light-filled, well-designed...probably the nicest interior of any house we've rented. A little porch off the back is great for grilling, soaking up the sun, and eating or reading. The lower level bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The interior details are really tasteful...definitely NOT the typical ski chalet/condo rental. Also the house was well-stocked with various supplies, and very clean. There's a two car garage. An upper area in the back behind the house has a little outdoor fireplace and chairs; we spent many evenings roasting marshmallows, drinking wine, watching the sky turn dark while the fire quietly burned. While there are others who live on the road, you never hear nor see anyone, so it's extremely private. This is the first house we've rented in Vermont where at the end of our stay we said to each other, "we definitely want to come back." We highly recommend it."
