"I stayed at this cozy little cabin in October. Ron was a great host. The cabin was exactly like the pictures show. Its remote, yet close to the General Store or a short drive to the next town. I loved my vacation, and this little slice of heaven so very much! Thank you for allowing me to stay in your cabin, and I hope to see you again soon! Happy Holidays :)"

"My husband and I took our 11 and 13 year old skiing and stayed at this house. The house was very cozy and warm. The living room has a comfortable sectional so we could all stretch out after a long day of skiing in front of the flat screen. The house has a large ample kitchen open to the family room. The upstairs had two nice size bedrooms. The beds were comfortable and the back bedroom had sounds of the babbling brook behind which was very soothing. Overall the house was in very good condition. It looks as though it was recently painted and the bathroom upstairs look newly renovated. The house was spotlessly clean. The very best feature of all is that the shuttle goes to the front door and is like the first drop off at the end of the day. The shuttle passes at least every half hour. Only ski on ski off could surpass the convenience. We had a great stay and my kids asked when we could go to the house again. The owners were great and so easy to deal with and we will definitely be back."

"We had a wonderful stay at Bear Down. The location was ideal for the wedding event at Camp Plymouth. The place is bigger than it appears on the VRBO web site and it was great to have a large living space for family from both sides to mingle between events and for the bride to dress with her Mom and girl friends.
The owner, Randy, was very accommodating for a special request that we had and was very response via text on a minor question on getting the WiFi reset. He keeps the house well supplied with essentials - spices, condiments - with a simple policy "please help your self. If you finish something replace it.""

"I came up from Philadelphia for a few days relaxation with my yellow lab. The cottage was adorable--clean, cozy and filled with light. Set on a hill overlooking Star Lake, the cottage has amazing views out over the Green Mountains and I could have spent my entire time happily sitting on the deck or playing fetch with my dog in the meadows surrounding the cottage. Hikes beckoned, however, and Sam and I enjoyed walking on Healdville Trail, in Coolidge State Park, in the forest near Chester and on a closed road near the cottage. It was easy to find good local food nearby (Belmont Village Store, Crows Nest Bakery and Opera Cafe in Proctorsville, the Friday Farmers Market in Ludlow, Singletons in Proctorsville, the Wine and Cheese store in Ludlow). The cottage is in a great spot for exploring nearby towns and villages (Weston, Chester, Grafton) yet feels very secluded and serene. Ron was extremely helpful and friendly but also completely respected our privacy. We followed his suggestion of walking up the hill behind the cottage to watch the sunset, and were amply rewarded. We'll be back!"
