"This is our second trip to the The Big house- 19 of us in total 5 families. We are all skiers except one who loves to stay in the Chalet and read. Todd is wonderful to deal with and it feels like our second home. We never go out to eat as we love cooking in the Chef's kitchen. Looking forward to spending next New years at The Big House!"

"Our extended family came to town for a birthday celebration. The former Misty Mountain Lodge was a perfect setting for the group to stay. The bedrooms are well appointed and there are great spots for large group hang outs including the awesome gourmet kitchen, yard and living room. The location has a great view and is close to Mt. Snow, the village of Wilmington, lakes and some great hikes. Overall, terrific spot and responsive owner and caretaker. Would definitely use it again."

"Our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids ages 19, 17,15,and 11) just returned home after a 4 day stay at the schoolhouse. We fell in love at 1st sight with the charm and beauty of the home. It was a perfect place to call home as we explored the beautiful hiking trails and nearby Stowe and surrounding communities. It was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen and grill, and plenty of linens for us. Our 11 year old couldn't get enough of ringing the school bell which only added to the charm. Our kids also took advantage of the trampoline at the end of each day. It truly was a place to relax, slow down, and enjoy being a family together. The rural house offers beautiful views. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and dinner on the deck. The information that Florence provided regarding the house and the surrounding area was very thorough and helpful. I wish we could have taken advantage of the Farm to Table sunset dinner at the nearby Sandiwood Farm. We hope to return in the future and wouldn't hesitate to call this home again."

What a wonderful place for our family get-together!
"Our family of seven adults rented Lisa and Mike's place for four days in August so we could all be together for a significant family birthday. When we arrived, Lisa and Mike helped us settle in, and we felt immediately at home. The house was perfect for us, with with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and excellent places to gather for socializing and meals. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house is in Pleasant Valley, one of the most peaceful and beautiful valleys in the state of Vermont, and the deck has an absolutely stunning view of Mt. Mansfield (even more lovely than the photo on the website, as a prior reviewer states). The other plus was being able to engage Lisa to lead us in a combo Yoga/Pilates session one morning - what a treat! Thank you for a lovely stay."
