  • August Delight

"We were here in August and loved it. The house has a cozy, open-living floor plan with a large kitchen/dining area which makes it great for entertaining/family meals. Tastefully decorated with no clutter and lots of bright natural light due to large windows on all sides. Very well located. Lots of great restaurants in nearby Hanover, White River Junction, Woodstock and in Quechee. Great lobster at The Weathervane in West Lebanon. MGM video store for movies to rent in West Lebanon as well. Try the Tip Top Cafe in White River Junction for great food and a warm, casual ambiance. The Co-op in White River Junction has almost everything you need, and if not, just across the river in Lebanon there is another Co-op (different company). The Quechee club is just down the road from the house and for a nominal fee you can enjoy exercise classes, pool, tennis and the small lake in summer. Mt. Tom in Woodstock is a lovely hike but we also enjoyed walks in the neighborhood. The owner is great in answering all questions and so nice to deal with. House has all the amenities you could want and a well equipped kitchen."

  • We Never Grew Tired of the View!

"August 2014: We love The Ridge (have rented in the community a few times before) for the views, the quiet, and the space flexibility. This is our first time with this unit and the property headline is very accurate. Because this is an end unit, and particularly due to its siting in relation to the next group of units, it offers an exceptionally broad view as well as the extra natural light. The property is very clean, nicely furnished and very well stocked (pots & pans, cooking utensils, serving pieces, plates & silverware, and sheets and towels), reflecting that the unit is not a full time rental. We are a small family with one 10 year old daughter who occasionally had a friend visit. There was also a third bedroom with its own bath for the occasions when we had a couple visit for the weekend or for a few days. Although the unit isn't exceptionally large in square footage, there was plenty of space for all. The main floor living/dining/kitchen areas feel spacious due to the high ceilings. There are plenty of instructions in the unit about how things work and things to do in the area. The owners are very accessible, helpful, and accommodating. The Ridge has a quiet pool with a view as well. It's a nice feature for families as children (and adults) like to use it in between doing other activities or for quiet relaxation."

  • Country at it's best

"We Arrived to find our place exactly as described and Hosts very pleasant. Our lodgings were very clean comfortable and peaceful, enjoyed long walks around the property. Especially liked the fact we had a short distance to travel for shopping dining and the highway, a great central location."

  • Remote but near the activities

"My wife, 2 year old yellow lab and I settled into this cabin for a week at the beginning of a nine week road trip. It was a great place to start. It had everything we needed, we usually do lunch out and dinner at the cabin. And this worked well here. It is remote --- no neighbors you can see or hear -- but just up the hill from the main streets in Quechee. It is less than a mile from the gorge. The management company (Thanks Mike) was very responsive to the one or two issues we had and took care of them quickly and efficently. We recommend this for almost anyone, but if you have difficulty with stairs or small hills, you might want to look elsewhere as the main living area is on the second level. We hope the rest of the VRBO properties we will be staying are as nice."
