  • GREAT FAMILY VACATION

"We rented the Pico Chalet as it had sufficent room for family traveling from Florida and South Carolina to spend time with family and friends who live in the area. We had a great time and created more family memories. The kids had a blast and accomplished their goal of hiking all the way to the top of Pico! The house was very clean upon arrival and had plenty of room for the seven of us with the three bedrooms downstairs having two beds each and the master upstairs with a queen size bed and a trundle bed. There is a family room downstairs with a large flat screen TV that allowed the kids to play cards and watch TV, and the adults were able to use the TV upstairs without hearing what was going on downstairs. Both bathrooms provided toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc) similar to what you would find in a nice hotel. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room table was large enough to seat all seven of us plus some. There were a couple of days where severe weather came through, and it was nice to be able to park both our vehicles in the garage to prevent possible damage. We had to contact the property manager a couple of times, and both times there was an immediate response. The owner was also great to work with and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay on the mountain and hope to visit again in the future."

"This was a great up kept property at beautiful Stowe Mountain. Owner left us everything we would need for our stay. Excellent views of the mountain from the living room and master bed room. Would absolutely stay here again!"

  • a real gem

"All the rave reviews did not disappoint. Our family of four, including a 12 and 9 year old, enjoyed a wonderful three night stay over MLK, Jr. holiday weekend. The cottage is impeccably clean, with lovely linens (something I always worry about when traveling). The loft was so charming I was sorry I had promised it to our children! Bathroom is rather small if that concerns you, but certainly functional (although I did not find an outlet). My family spent some time at Mad River Glen skiing; but, we also enjoyed snowshoeing, xcountry skiing, and sledding over the beautiful farm. Scott and Pat were kind enough to provide the sleds. They have a lovely setting here, are the perfect hosts, and we look forward to returning again. As a side note, if you are looking for a place to eat, we were happy to have stumbled upon the Big Picture Cafe in Waitsfield for dinner our last night... not at all what you might expect from the outside. Loved the atmosphere, delicious, healthy options, and friendly service."

  • THE perfect mountain house.

"My friends and I have been renting Bernie's (the owner) house for a long weekend ski-trip for 5 straight years dating back to 2011. There are so many reasons why this house is the perfect house to rent for large groups. There is ample sleeping space, multiple private 1-bed rooms and 4 or 5 rooms w/ multiple beds, a great common area connected to the kitchen w/ 4 TVs, a good number of board games, a nice game room w/ darts and pool or ping-pong. It has a true mountain house feel to it. It's only 1 mile from the house to the main lodge at Mount Snow. He keeps the house immaculately clean, provides you with all your bedding needs, provides towels...hot tub access, a couple nice decks, free wifi. The kitchen has just about all of the cooking or baking equipment you'd need. Bernie has always been attentive to any of our needs/requests. I can't say enough about how much my friends and I like this house. Bernie always takes a group picture of his renters and has their pictures posted all over the house, along with tons of cool sports memorabilia (especially if you're a Red Sox fan!). If you have a group of 10-24 people looking to rent a house near mount snow that is fun, large, well maintained and where you want truly feel like you are all staying together this is your house."
