"My spouse and I have been travelling to Vermont for 30 years.
Just discovered Mary's little piece of paradise this year, spent 10 nights in July with our teen aged daughter.
Will definitely be returning in both summer and winter. Close to everything, yet perfectly secluded.
Mary is the perfect host, very gracious and welcoming, along with her dog Sunny and cat Taffy.
Fresh salad greens from the garden were appreciated.
Great private swimming pond, fire pit and perfectly equipped cottage. Our daughter loved her little loft which soon became her nest.
Chickens and rooster across the road very entertaining and the 3 dozen fresh eggs were the best we have ever eaten.

"If you're skeptical about all the rave reviews I can 100% assure you they are real, we put some pics up on Trip Advisor as did many others. We spent our annual President's Week Snowboarding vacation here with our 2 pups to go to Jay Peak. The Irish Farmhouse was exactly what it shows on the video and the O'Sheas make it pet friendly!. If you're like us and hate the over crowded and over priced hotels and want your own little place this is the perfect place.
It has everything you need and was incredibly warm even at -3 outside and frost forming on the front door - on the inside! We were never without hot water either.
There is also a market about 2-3 miles down the road. Then Jay Peak is about 5 miles in the other direction. It doesn't get better than that.
There is a nice outdoor hot tub and our pups loved running on the snow covered trails out back.
The best part is they provide a story with picture of the brief history of Sheady Acres. Eamon got the land when he was 18. Then with a little help here and there he pretty much built Sheady Acres himself. His level of craftsmanship is insane. He is a total perfectionist and it shows. The accents and touches he put into the Irish Farmhouse were awesome.
We're going to hit it again in the summer or fall to see what its like without 4 feet of snow! Hot tub, trails, BBQ, etc."

"This was our second year in this beautiful home. The fit and finish of the home makes it very comfortable and inviting for all age groups. Mike and Victoria are gracious hosts and take a lot of pride in their home. The improvements made from one year to the next make it obvious that they care as much about their home as they do the people renting it. The personal touches are wonderful and make this an ideal rental.
When we rented the house last year we left behind some personal items. When we arrived this year, we found that Mike and Victoria had held on to our items; they were wrapped and labled for us and put out with a delicious plate of brownies and a bottle of wine with a personal note to welcome us. I have never experienced such personable and thoughtful landlords.
We loved the upgrades to the house such as the chef's stove and ceramic, wood like tiles in the lower rec room. Simply cannot be beat this property; views, amenities, warm home and owners!
Thanks again for being such wonderful hosts-"
