  • great ski rental

"This home was perfect for our two families with 4 adults and 4 kids, ranging in age from 7 to 20 yrs old. The house is very clean and well appointed and the Stowe Mtn Resort is an easy 10-15 minute drive away. There are lots of nearby restaurants if you want a night out, but we generally selected to tuck in after a long day of skiing and cook for ourselves. We found time for ice-skating and sledding in Stowe Village, and did make one trip to Piecasso for pizza and drinks, which was very enjoyable. (The sledding hill is behind the elementary school and it's a fun run, but for kids I suggest wearing ski helmets for this hill). There wasn't enough snow on the ground to do an cross-country skiing this trip but looking forward to it next time. Our hosts Janice and Lee were prompt and attentive to all our questions and concerns. We would definitely stay with them again."

  • Spring Break!

"Owlswood was perfect for our family of 5 and dog. It is a beautiful, sprawling ranch with spectacular views of the mountains! We definitely had more room than we needed, but we enjoyed all of it and felt so cozy. This was the cleanest rental home we've ever stayed in and was the best in providing extras like hand soaps in each bathroom, plenty of paper supplies, and even laundry supplies. It was really nice not to have to pack all of that to bring with us. We enjoyed the variety of games, puzzles, Wi/games, use of the computer, and especially enjoyed the Sonos/Pandora Sound system! Our dog and kids had fun exploring the 7 acres of land/pond. It's such a beautiful setting, secluded ,yet close to towns. We caught the tail end of ski season at Bromley, and viewed/sampled the making of maple syrup at Havoc Hill Sugarhouse(best Maple syrup ever)! Suzanne, the owner, is wonderful!!! I can't say enough good things about our experience with her. She responds promptly by email and phone and even provides a list of places/things to do in the area and beyond! She suggested purchasing a Chicken Pot Pie from the Dorset Union Market- it was by far the best we've ever had. We even bought one to take home with us(it comes frozen). We strongly recommend this rental home to anyone. It is a very well cared for home. Jane, the housekeeper, is also awesome. I wish we lived closer so I could hire her to clean my house! We realized after departing that we had left a coat/hat at the house. So, I contacted her and she mailed them to us. Rent this home- you will not regret it! We will be coming back for sure!"

  • Perfect Stratton Home!

"This is an absolutely amazing home! We truly felt as though we had borrowed a house from family as opposed to renting it from vrbo. Ken was a gracious and accommodating host and was extremely responsive and thoughtful. We had absolutely no complaints and hope to rent the home again in the future. To describe the layout of the house a bit, the entrance level has the big green couch room you see in the photos (which is extremely comfortable and has a great TV), as well as a bedroom with a queen bed (pictured with a pink comforter) and the bunk bed room. The second floor, has an eat in kitchen with a large table, plus a formal dining room, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds (one with an on suite), the hot tub room and a full bathroom. The upstairs has 2 more bedrooms each with queen size beds (one with an on suite), a full bathroom and yet another living room (which overlooks the hot tub). The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to make cooking very easily! The house is also extremely close to Stratton Mountain, about 5 minutes, which is another added plus! The only thing I would mention is the driveway is a bit steep so car’s with 4 wheel drive have an easier time getting up it. I highly recommend this home to anyone staying in Stratton!"
