  • Stowe LAX weekend

"Very quiet, private cabin, convenient to all Stowe has to offer. The owner is on property and one of the loveliest people I have ever met! It was nice to have a kitchen to make our own meals because getting into a restaurant on lacrosse weekend is crazy! Also nice to have a washer and dryer."

  • Perfect Location

"Great location!!! Toll House Lift is a short walk (or ride). Perfect for a 2 person getaway. Jean was very hospitable as well...She even set up the fireplace ahead of our arrival so all we had to do was light the fire after a long day on the slopes. Restaurants / Apres Ski / Shopping / Etc. are located just a short drive down the mountain...Cannot say enough about the location!"

  • Will be back!!

"What a terrific place! We stay in Stowe every summer but this was our first time at the Village Green. The condo owner was quite pleasant to communicate with and very prompt with any inquiry we made. The unit was clean, neat and very well equipped. The kitchen worked perfectly for the meals we had "at home" and was missing nothing at all. The patio has a large field attached for frisbee or other games. The mudroom/foyer held our 3 mountain bikes with room for more. No need to bring any lawn chairs as there are at least half a dozen. Although there is no AC in the Village Green, this unit has 4 industrial strength fans. Even when we hit 80 degrees we were comfortable. I should mention the indoor pool, outdoor pool, jacuzzi, hottub, game room, billiards, tennis, and ping pong all within the resort! The gorgeous view of Mount Mansfield is the perfect accompaniment for morning coffee alfresco. The recreation path is just down the road for biking, running, cross country skiing or just a leisurely stroll. Bingham Falls and the Auto Toll Road are just up 108 for excursions. Shaws market isn't far for groceries. There is every kind of cuisine within walking and biking distance, as well. It was everything we want in our Stowe vacation. Looking forward to next year already!"

  • Thoreau has nothing on this place.

"This is the perfect retreat for someone who is looking for solitude and peace, and understands that it's not full service or the Ritz. That's not to say it's not comfortable. Au contraire. It's quite comfortable and cozy. Meals by candlelight, a warm fire in the cast iron (propane fired) stove or a quiet night on the porch with a book (I used a petzl headlamp) is just what the doctor ordered. I especially enjoyed a shower in the trees right off the porch with the solar heated water bladder. Refreshing! Perfection in the woods. Amazing setting. Your hosts are amazing and incredibly helpful. If you're lucky you'll get a visit from super cuddly, Percy, the owners spaniel."
