"My family of 4 stayed at Valery and Louis' house for a second time. It's a cozy, sweet old house that really feels like home. The owners are very accessible and responsive and the caretaker is right down the street and always available if there are issues. The house has a lot of character and was a perfect place to call home while we skied and snowboarded at Stratton."

"This is a GREAT cabin in the woods...We had two families (4 adults, 3 kids) up for a long weekend of skiing and winter fun and had a blast..the photos do not do it justice...much better and bigger in person..the house is the perfect winter mountain retreat in a greatt location a short drive (3 miles) to the the town of Jamaica (general store, restaurants, shops) and the Stratton Sun Bowl (the back way 6 miles bypassing all the traffic). The owner Maggie is great and the house is filled with everything you need in the kitchen plus a bunch of sleds (we had a blast on the driveway). We are definitely renting this house again next time. Thanks Maggie!"

"Perfect stay. I always dreamed of living on an Island but my dreams didn't include such palatial digs! This place was wonderful. I loved exploring the island. The history of the nearby town of Jamaica was also fun to explore. Karen (owner of grocer in Jamaica) helped put together the historical societies Jamaica Walking Tour book. She is a interesting story teller and knowledgable historian. The Jamaica State Park was beautiful. Never really needed to use the car (although I did) because the local scene was so rich. I loved learning about the Nearings from a local Jamaican and visiting the Nearings "starter home" which was a summer home of one of my greatest friends. Thanks. Your house was idyllic and in an idyllic place.
And now a list of special features we enjoyed: The wonderful river that roared after a good rain and gave us all restful sleeps, the shuffle board table was the best we ever played on, the pool table and downstairs bar were slick, The beds were cozy with nice fluffy duvets, each room was quiet, the big family table was great for family gabbing, the weber grill, the outdoor swimming hole, the fire-pit with tons of firewood. The great kitchen that accommodated multiple chefs. Thanks Very Much"

"Everything was perfect -- from the log cabin decor to the screened in porch were we could watch the sun fade over the view of the pond and the barn. The home was very clean and well maintained, and the owner was excellent to communicate with. We'll hopefully be back to check out the views during another season!"
