Perfect Place in Small Vermont Village
"What a great place to stay. Stylish yet simple Vermont style. Beautiful hardwood floors and light walls. Secluded off Main Street close to the heart of Jamaica. Best landlords ever. Such a cool relaxing place even in the heat of summer. Close to all things Vermont, skiing, cheese and scenery. Close to Stratton and you are right behind the general store, where you can buy Karen's awesone homemade cookies. Lovely place, so happy to have been there. Highly recommended."

"Our group of several adults and a few children stayed at this house for presidents day weekend and we had a great time. When we arrived the house was very well prepared and among the cleanest houses we've rented before. Great, spacious kitchen was our main hangout spot and has pretty much everything you need for cooking some nice meals for the group. Bedrooms are also nice and comfortable with clean sheets, towels, etc. The owner Rick is very friendly and easy to work with, I would definitely look to rent this house again on my next Stratton visit."

"We absolutely LOVED our stay in the barn! The property is beyond gorgeous! Our family of 4 arrived for a 4-day weekend and we were so pleased with being lucky enough to find this beautiful home. The setting is perfect. You feel as though you are tucked far away, yet you are only about a mile from town (including outlets, golf courses and restaurants.) The master bedroom and bath were fabulous. The children's room, with 3 small twin beds, was fine for them to bunk in together. The second full bath which the kids used was lovely as well. The living space was WAY bigger than we anticipated. With one great room with TV and a second big room with pool table and plenty of games. (Seems like a great barn to entertain in!) The kitchen was wonderfully stocked with more dishes, cookware than most rentals and we were even welcomed with a basket of Vermont goodies - including pancake mix, chocolate, chips, etc....such a perfect touch!! We were all in love with Ender, the swiss mountain dog, as well as the cow and goat which were so sweet and added even more Vermont allure to the property as we strolled around with our morning coffee. In addition, the kids were kept occupied by hiking right from the house, playing tennis on the tennis court and exploring around the pond. There was always something for them to be doing! Heaven. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was so, so friendly and welcoming - she made you want to live her life in that beautiful setting! We would definitely recommend this property. I always try to think of one thing that could make a rental better.....that's a hard one here, but I will say that there is not a cleaning service so you are responsible for that. The addition of a cleaning service would be my only recommended change here if I had to say anything. Oh.....and I wish we could have stayed longer!!"

"4 couples stayed at this wonderful ski chalet in March and had an amazing stay. The house is tucked back within a beautiful wooded setting and from the outside of the place we knew that it had the rustic charm that we wanted in a vacation house in the mountains. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 downstairs with its own bathroom as well as 3 upstairs. All of the bedrooms had enough room for sleeping, luggage, etc. The water was always hot in the bathrooms and everything was perfectly clean when we arrived. The house is a split-level with two different living room/sitting areas, one near the kitchen/dining area, which had a great wood-burning fire, and the other was up a few stairs and was large and well-equipped with another wood-burning stove, a chest of games, really comfortable couches, and everything that we needed. The internet worked fine and we didn't even try to use the TV but I'm sure that it worked. We had a few questions about a circuit tripping but the caretaker/owner answered pretty quickly. I would highly recommend this house to couples and families, up to probably 8-10 people, who are looking for a charming, ski chalet feel, and who want close proximity to the mountain and stores in town. Thanks again for everything!!"
