  • Retirement Trip

"Vermont is beautiful in the fall. The whole state seems to be full of charming small towns. We have never visited a cleaner or more friendly place. One day we drove to Center Harbor NH, the site of Keepsake Quilting (I'm a quilter). The difference in the two places was astonishing. Stay in Vermont! We both loved the Shelburn Museum and getting to see Lake Champlain. We loved southern VT and mainly explored the small towns around Jamica. The house was just as lovely as promised, loved the gas fireplace stove, the kitchen well equipped, the tub lovely. My husband painted, took a million pictures, and we both RELAXED. Loved it, hated to leave."

  • Beautiful, spacious, private home - CLOSE to all!

"My family and I rented this amazing home for a long-weekend getaway. Let me just say - the pictures do not do it justice. It is an absolutely stunning place to stay. It was everything we wanted our "Vermont Country Home" to be. The large kitchen (with all new appliances) and open floor plan allowed my husband and I to cook dinner while we entertained our guests. Afterwards, we all enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace - and all the wood we needed was ready for us, including extra on the screened-in porch. The upstairs master bedroom also has a futon for extra sleeping space and there is AMPLE storage space for clothes, equipment, etc in all rooms. The upstairs master bathroom - with an awesome steam shower and soaking tub - were just what we needed to relax after a day of skiing. You will need an AWD/4WD vehicle to access the property in the winter and spring. The road leading to the driveway is not paved - nor is the driveway itself. (But, really, I think unpaved roads outnumber paved roads in Vermont!) The home is only about a 5-10 minute drive from Stratton and maybe 15 - 20 minutes to Mt. Snow. We skied almost every day we were there. I cannot wait to rent this lovely home again next season!"

  • Perfect Stratton Home!

"This is an absolutely amazing home! We truly felt as though we had borrowed a house from family as opposed to renting it from vrbo. Ken was a gracious and accommodating host and was extremely responsive and thoughtful. We had absolutely no complaints and hope to rent the home again in the future. To describe the layout of the house a bit, the entrance level has the big green couch room you see in the photos (which is extremely comfortable and has a great TV), as well as a bedroom with a queen bed (pictured with a pink comforter) and the bunk bed room. The second floor, has an eat in kitchen with a large table, plus a formal dining room, 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds (one with an on suite), the hot tub room and a full bathroom. The upstairs has 2 more bedrooms each with queen size beds (one with an on suite), a full bathroom and yet another living room (which overlooks the hot tub). The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need to make cooking very easily! The house is also extremely close to Stratton Mountain, about 5 minutes, which is another added plus! The only thing I would mention is the driveway is a bit steep so car’s with 4 wheel drive have an easier time getting up it. I highly recommend this home to anyone staying in Stratton!"

  • Highly Recommended!

"Our group of several adults and a few children stayed at this house for presidents day weekend and we had a great time. When we arrived the house was very well prepared and among the cleanest houses we've rented before. Great, spacious kitchen was our main hangout spot and has pretty much everything you need for cooking some nice meals for the group. Bedrooms are also nice and comfortable with clean sheets, towels, etc. The owner Rick is very friendly and easy to work with, I would definitely look to rent this house again on my next Stratton visit."
