  • Slopeside 38 was excellent for our vacation!

"Our family of 5 reserved this condo at Smuggler's Notch for a family vacation over our spring break. The condo was simply fantastic. It was extremely clean, well cared for, comfortable, plenty of room for all and well equipped for cooking if you preferred staying in for meals. The owner bent over backward to make sure that we had good information about the resort, area restaurants and activities for our kids. The condo is a true ski in and ski out which was a huge plus for us. The resort ski lessons for our kids were terrific. The kids could not wait to go to them every morning. All of the staff there wants to make sure you are well taken care of as well. We would definitely return to Smuggler's Notch, and without a doubt, rent this unit again for our stay. The owners were amazing to work with and having the "inside" information from them made our stay truly enjoyable. We would highly recommend the condo and the resort!"

  • Great Vermont Getaway

"We have rented the house twice and each time we left we knew we would be back. The location is good, close to the mountains at the end of a private road just off the access road to Sugarbush North, perfect for walking the dogs. Each time we rented the house was clean and well equipped with no surprises. For our family with dogs and older kids, it was just what we needed, including a very nice hot tub, a good size living room for all to socialize in, and a room downstairs for kids to get away by themselves. The owner was very responsive and helpful when we called with questions."

  • FABULOUS HOUSE!

"We just returned from VT for a long weekend wedding held in Manchester. My family stayed at the Battenkill Mansion. It was spectacular! The house is on a large property, with no neighbors. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and all mattresses were new! There are three floors, which spreads everyone over a large area, providing lots of privacy and quiet. The kitchen has an eight burner gas stove and double ovens, large enough to feed an army! The dining room also seats a large group of people. In addition to a sizable living area, there is a ballroom that can accommodate a large group activity. It currently contains a ping pong table, which my family spent many hours competing on! If you are a serious ping pong player, bring your paddle and balls (the house provides some, just a little rough from wear and tear). The house is just a mile from downtown Manchester Village, where there are many cute restaurants, and loads of outlet shopping. Beautiful place to ride bikes, hike, play golf and swim. I highly recommend this house to anyone trying to accommodate a larger group of people."

  • Nice outdoor deck, hot tub and firepit combo

"A few friends and I stayed here during mud season and enjoyed it. We were in town for Lawson's Finest Liquids 7th Anniversary Market/Party in nearby Waitsfield, where the beer was excellent - the whole surrounding area from Warren up through Waterbury, Hardwick and the Northeast Kingdom has amazing craft beer and spirits. The weather was nice enough to eat on the back deck just off the kitchen/main living room. We also took a dip in the hot tub which is right outside the garage (other side of house from the deck) and has a firepit ready and waiting to dry you off when you're done. Ping pong in the garage was cool too. Upstairs bedroom and bath were good. Middle level (it's a split level house) had two good living rooms, one of which shares an open concept with the dining area and kitchen (that opens up to the deck). Full bath on mid level too. We mostly avoided the lower level since it had a musty smell. The tenant above the garage and the owners checked on it for us, and to them it was a normal basement/old house smell so we could have been overreacting. The owners and the housekeeper were extremely responsive to our concerns about the smell and had smell absorbing bags ("damp rid") at the house which we used to try to mask the smell."
